If that is a gotcha then it is failing because I don’t see your point.

Believe they had firing squads in Utah up until not that long ago. You can still elect for the chair in some states. I don't think it would deter most people though, in some cases these scum bags may prefer it. I could see something like this maybe helping with rapist and pedos, cutting off someone's pecker would probably save a lot of money and actually keep some of these freaks in line.

Would be nice to have these things expedited. It's stupid what we as taxpayers spend on keeping these people alive only to inject them with some pharmaceutical product that probably cost 4 figures. Just shoot them, hang, etc.

Even later. There were at least a couple of hangings in the early 1900s.

So...the last century

I'm not sure it should be publicly broadcast because I think that is what they want...for the world to see them and for idiots that think like them to consider them heroes and martyrs.

Now I do think we should make executions as painful and excruciating as possible. I think torturing these types of criminals to death is very appropriate. The idea of making execution quick and humane is basically giving the perps what they want...a quick and easy way out.

I'm 100% down for bringing gladiators back.

These people think they are martyrs and want their cause made publicly aware.

I bet if the price of their crime was execution while being skinned alive in public, they'd have 2nd thoughts about their cause made public.

I'd go so far as to bet that in cases of crimes like the one yesterday, they would automatically commit suicide before being taken alive. No way they would be able to handle being skinned alive. And if they commit suicide, at least they would no longer be a burden on the taxpayer.

That being said, I would never watch something like this.

I’d pay to watch child molesters get torn apart by wild animals.

They just won’t be taken alive, and some of them like the Aurora shooter strike me as if this is something that would be enticing to him. There is something about martyrdom that people find tempting. I don’t think it helps that the most revered person in all of Western Civilization went down in such a way and completely changed the world forever.

Scruffy doesn’t understand the mindset that these bastards should be locked away forever. It serves no purpose.

This idea that prison justice is this rampant force of nature is an absolute farce and myth.

On top of that, these individuals serve no purpose and should not be offered rehabilitation.

Scruffy isn’t saying public execution is the right course of action, but a bullet in the brain is the only true form of justice, ISO.

The school shooter is something completely different than the people that this question needs to be asked about.

Take, for example, the 61-year-old man that murdered an 8-year-old girl. Raped her and murdered her.

He had a been convicted of many crimes, each one progressing to the next level. Why not put a bullet in that dude's head 30 years ago and save everyone the aggravation.

Honestly, the system should make protecting future victims a priority. I doubt many people convicted of certain sexual crimes are not repeat offenders.

So we blame violent movies and video games for kids shooting up schools, but want to have real violence in the streets for the public to see?

I think if you kill more than 5 people and 5 or more people saw what you did, you don’t get an appeal once your verdict comes in. You’re taken out back to the courthouse and get a bullet between your eyes and are then thrown into an unmarked and unknown grave.

Some sort of expedience in these kinds of cases seems logical. This dude had a history of bad decisions but nothing in his past remotely hints at being mentally incompetent. Just a soulless idiot with a wire loose and not meant for this earth.

I listened to the same podcast and I had the same thought this morning. They handcuffed the kid and walked him off to jail. I’m sure if they instead beat the everliving shite out of him and then tortured him for a week in a holding cell, kids might think twice about doing this in the future.
