Bitch, the only horse you probably ever rode was outside of the Walmart or was made of wood.

Crying over it is a far bigger issue than not knowing how to change a tire
Agreed. I mean, if no one taught you, no one taught you. Gotta learn someday and that was a great day to learn. No big deal. I didn't get the crying part. I mean, it's life.

SO did he learn how to change it?

I can't tell you the last time I changed a tire..Only because I haven't had a flat in years (Thank the Lord). I remember in high school the coach had all of us watch a tire get changed. Some people were talking and not paying attention and the coach flipping out..

Being able to change a tire should be a requirement to get a license.
In total agreement and no need to attach a gender to it.
When I've had a flat, I know what to do. By the time I've the hubcap off and the the lug wrench out, and the jack positioned, someone has stopped to help. Because I know what I'm doing, I've never been hassled. I've always thought it was stupid of women to appear helpless. So far I've been correct.

I would like to add knowing how to check a tripped house breaker to the list. You would be amazed at how many folks don’t have a clue. It’s sad honestly

Long story short, one of my female coworker friends (no pics) told me that the guy she's dating blew a tire on the way to work this morning, and she feels bad that she can't help him. I asked her, "does he not have a spare?" She goes, "yes, but he's on the side of the road." I said, "so he doesn't know how to change a tire?" She huffed, "why does that even matter?"
Changing out a tire makes me think of getting out the tire irons and actually swapping out tires. Putting on the spare wheel everyone should know how to do including women. I've taught my wife how to do it just in case she is in a bad spot and needs to do it herself.
Men should know how to take a set of tire irons and swap the tire out on the side of the road.

You can pull up a video on just about any model car and watch a tire change if the manual isn't enough.

I showed him step by step. Even had him do some of the work. Never again was in a situation with him where he needed to change a tire, so no idea if he remembered.

His wife must be an interesting lady to marry such an emotionally fragile man.

I love the people who claim that only poors change their own tires.
If you can’t change a tire, that’s fine. But don’t claim it’s because it is beneath you.
Be proud of your sissy man status.

I always check the manual for where to put the jack, chance that the car falls off the jack has always freaked me out

Yes. I've changed a tire with a broken hand before. It's not hard, doesn't take much time, and any man should be able to do it.

That night, wife tells me dude never really had a father figure in his life, was raised by a single mom, and I guess no one ever bothered to show him how to change a tire, and he was completely embarrassed.
and his answer to this was to start crying?

Everyone that owns a car should know how to change a tire.

Yeah, I just don't have to when I've owned my own for a while.
That time I did it for my now-wife, I assumed she knew to put the parking brake on before I jacked it up. Never again. It started to roll, but thankfully wasn't too far off the ground. I got it back down before things got bad.

That’s called getting cucked

Anyone who drives should know how.
I’m going to have the same requirements fir my daughter and son that my dad had for me and my sister. Until you can change a tire by yourself you don’t drive by yourself
He made me change a tire without help before he let me drive.

I gotta be honest. 1. I have run flats, and don’t even have a spare in my car. 2. Even if I did, and I’m on the side of I-10 with a flat tire, I’m calling my car’s service where they’ll tow it to the dealership for free.

I don't understand how someone can't figure out how to change a tire if you don't already know. Sure the jack might get a little tricky but the actual tire changing is not hard to figure out
But actually taking the wheel off and replacing it with the spare is really simple.
