Bam!!!
This 100%. "Flying clothes" is a term brought about because nothing is comfortable about flying anymore unless your business/company is footing the bill or you want to shell out an extra grand for first class.
If you are flying in a 737 or A320 (think that's the #) sized aircraft or smaller, you are flying in a packed bus. Dress accordingly.

The cost of ticket and airline doesnt really seem to matter.
I agree. But there's a special smell and patina at the very end of concourse D in Atlanta where 5 Frontier and Spirit gates are crammed in space that should hold maybe 2 gates, and nowhere to escape!

If you don't buy the cheap steerage seats you could sit with a better class of people. If the airlines charged what they charged back in the day we wouldn't have all you riff riff on the planes.
Air fares are about the same as 50 years ago without adjusting the value of the dollars.

Yes,
Men: nothing larger than a 34 waist slacks
Women: nothing larger than a size 6.
Should cut down on the fatty complaints and save fuel, too.

Like was said in the 10 or 20 page thread the last time someone complained about the way people dress to fly, buy a fist class ticket.

i would be down for a dress code if they also didn't allow fast food on planes. that shite stinks up the entire plane

I generally fly in khakis, a polo, and loafers. Unless I am walking off the plane to head straight to a meeting, in which case I'll dress nicer, including a suit if necessary.
I don't think dressing like I dress is asking too much

No, they shouldn’t have a dress code, but people should have enough pride, and shame, to dress appropriately in public.

Where I am going determines what I am wearing. A three hour trip I am fine in slacks and button down.
The trip I make to southwest China a few times a year that totals 28 hrs, I’m in a polo fleece quarter zip with matching fleece pants. Comfort is the most important factor in that trip.

I'd be fine with a no pajamas, flip flops, or sleeveless shirts rule, but screw not letting people wear t-shirts, khaki shorts, tennis shoes, etc.

I travel weekly and I am all for flip-flops. Easy to get off at TSA. Honestly, first-time fliers should be required to wear flip-flops since they hold up the line.

Do you even TSA Pre-check?

Fly enough and you'll have your own dress code.
One of my personal priorities: Keep a dry taint and balls throughout the travel day. Breathable boxers and kinda loose fitting jeans/shorts are a must (no holes and not dirty though).
Can be difficult sometimes when you board Group 1 on the first leg of an international flight and they wait to tell you until you board that the APU is not working so you're just going to have sit there and sweat for 30 minutes until the regular turbines get going.
Hell hath no fury like a 14 hour flight to Sydney with a sweaty sack!

I really am amazed that people wear pajamas that drag the ground with flip flops in public.

That's why God invented slip on shoes

I’m not flying to a fricking job interview. I’m gonna wear flip flops and a comfortable t shirt if I please, douchebag.
