This is one thing that pisses me off! Grown arse men and it's not like that they aren't well off. I know of some that have lots of money but yet they wear shorts and fricking croccs to church. Damn! It's only for an hour! put some adult clothes on!!!!!!!!

Going to church on Grand Isle was the only place it was acceptable when I was growing up. Easy way to pick out the natives from the weekenders.

Not commenting in the church aspect, because I have no dog in that hunt.
But I do think it’s amusing that some men have become such pussies that the thought of wearing pants during the summer months is beyond the pale for them. Never mind that men have worn pants year around from the southern US to the fricking tropics for the last few hundred years...

It is called making an effort and the lazy arse generation just uses this excuse to exonerate their laziness and selfishness. Family was in farming so at the end of the day you were expected to shower before your mom served supper. Getting clean before consuming mommas biscuits is well below consuming the body of Christ.
Even the broke arse folks around me still had the ability to get cleaned up before entering the house of the Lord.
