Not sure about fear. . . my wife was Puerto Rican, born and raised in NY. She wouldn't go jogging around the beach in Florida without her ID for fear she'd get questioned and spend a day locked up while she proved she was American.

Some people just don't trust any governmental police that have too much power to randomly question and detain you.

The birthright citizenship issue has more immigrants worried than the ice thing.

Someone needs to do this in the North Side neighborhood in Fort Worth.

Or just here in Miami in general. Had to actually wait for someone at the bank last week to help me because the original teller helping me spoke zero english.

I would like to see an actual picture of the truck and not some blurry camera phone photos of a surveillance video.

Does it looks like this? Because if so, then that is on them if they can't read English when it clearly says something like Booty Patrol or THOT Patrol

Whenever I go to a busy Mexican restaurant I wear a black ICE hat and the patron's part like the red sea for me

Nice quip but absolutely not true.

Errors can be made, some glitch in a computer or a same name issue could pop up and people could spend hours or days detained proving they are who they say they are. It is the similar idea behind not consenting to a search of your home even if you aren't breaking the law you just never know what weird things might happen.

I have been a citizen of the US since birth but if the US was rounding up and deporting a large illegal group of blonde-haired blue-eyed people I would be on edge. Expecting people much less the bureaucracy of the government to be perfect is a fool's bet.

There is zero good reason for someone to engage in illegal pranks in the end it is likely to make ICE's job more difficult and cause stress for citizens or other fully legal residents or visitors.

If you're there legally, why even care? Hmmm.

Reminds me of that video where the guy picks some people up at Home Depot and brings them to an ice office. They were running like ants.

4D Chess.

Tell everyone it was a prank, meanwhile keep leaving the truck there.

People get complacent, or perhaps even gather more to "confront" the prankster.

Then bam, 100 agents pop out of nowhere and scoop them all up.

Because all of those people don't have the same addresses, birthdays, and social security numbers. You know, easily provided pieces of information.

Also, anyone feel free to correct me but my understanding is that ICE is going to specific locations for specific people...not just looking for people who are black and brown and appear to not belong here.

Impersonating an officer is a crime.

Depends on the state. In most places you not only have to purport yourself to be an officer, but you also have to attempt to get someone to submit to your pretended authority.
