Early 90s Albertson's we'd tackle the frickers. If they swung we swung back.

I worked at kmart during college in the early 90's. We had a two security guys who would actively hunt them down in the store.

Wait they don't even call the cops? "

Don't start sentences with "wait..."

When I was 17 working at Publix my manager called me into the office and showed me camera footage of a man stuffing his pants with steaks right next to me while a coworker and I chatted it up. Publix has the same policy, but WILL call the police and will even talk to the individual to slow them down until law enforcement arrives.

you realize nearly every store has a similar policy? They have loss priced into their products but they will report known thieves to police. Best Buy for instance has a similar policy, as do clothing stores.

I heard a story about somebody that didn't fare so well. Might have been at a different store. Pretty sure that the BR store goes after you full tilt.

This is one of the most objectively ignorant statements I have ever read on tOT, which is saying something.

Merely quoted a fact that you approved. Welcome to Stupidville.

Some stores are more aggressive than other regarding shoplifting. That is a fact also.

Piggly Wiggly <> Whole Foods

The talent at whole foods is on an entirely different level. Fit milfs in lululemon vs tatted up white trash whales in tank tops, stained pajama pants and slippers.

The food quality is way better too. Whether or not it's worth it is up to you but if I am cooking for date, I am getting my steaks or fish at WF.

If I am cooking for the no-kill animal shelter I'll hit up a Piggly Wiggly.

A family farm that is self sustaining with their own beef cows, milk cows, chickens, butcher shop, is the beef I am used to. When not there a meat packing company 10 minutes from my house that butchers on site as well. You can't get any fresher.

I was being a quick answering smartass comparing to Piggly Wiggly or an IGA. But the overall point is Whole Foods is very expensive for people that don't live on farms or live near a butcher on site meat packing plant. I do go to Whole Foods for certain items such as probiotics but can make my own homemade soups.

Knock yourselves out in your adoration of whole foods; but I don't need bongo drummers, high prices, to get fresh beef or 'cage free' brown eggs- I get on my own land or down the road.

Also, the stereotyping of trashy fat people in Piggly Wiggly is funny but wrong. I think the trend of 'fresh' is ridiculously priced.

This has absolutely nothing to do with liberal policies...It's easier to lose product and claim it as shrink than to pay out workers comp or a lawsuit.

You don't think the ability to sue for ridiculous shite stems from leftist policies/laws in our country? You don't think "loser pays" would reduce the number of lawsuits for stupid shite?
