Same thing happens all day everyday at Academy. People walk in and fill their arms up with clothes and then just walk right out to the car waiting on them at the front.

If you shop Whole Foods, keep in mind you are subsidizing their no intervention policy. You are paying for thieves to take items and endorsing their behavior.

Grats.

I get that aspect of it and it just shows how times have changed and not for the good.

Good luck shipping almost anywhere. Walmart is basically the only one with their own security that will actively stop and hold people until police arrive.

Academy will call the cops while they are stealing shite. I have seen numerous arrest made outside of the southside Academy in Lafayette.

It's easier to lose product and claim it as shrink than to pay out workers comp or a lawsuit.

Which is pretty sad.

Early 90s Albertson's we'd tackle the frickers. If they swung we swung back.

So if an employee tries to stop a thief and the thief pulls a knife or a gun and injures them, required them to miss work, they're simply a soy boy?

How retarded.

Why not just pay a cop to stand at the door?

Bc he would have a gun and that would trigger too many perps

I feel like everyone needs to start doing this so these morons can do something about the issue. Just have everyone walk in, take what they want and walk out.

It’s obviously not that big of a deal b/c if it was they would hire security.

no intervention policy for shoplifting at Whole Foods. If you suspect it, kill them with kindness but do not stop them or follow them out. Definitely can’t call the police

Thanks for the life pro tip. Just grabbed some pita chips, rosemary hummus and a bottle of kombucha and am ready to continue following the thread.

You can just walk into any bank and rob them and they won't try to stop you either.
