Saturday's Police Report
A West Main Walmart employee said a man entered the store around 7 a.m. and bought a chicken biscuit. He then walked around for about an hour. At one point, he picked up a $3 Red Bull, opened the can and started to drink. When the employee asked him to pay for it, he said he didn't have any money. He was detained for police and charged with shoplifting.
A West Main Walmart employee said a man was detained around 3:30 p.m. after he tried to steal porterhouse steaks, a T-bone steak and a Miller High Life beer, worth a total of $37. After arresting the 41-year-old man, police discovered he also had a felony arrest warrant.
I'm talking about after the person has left the scene, the police aren't going to put in any work in catching the person.

Due to advances in AI and facial recognition there are stores which track all your purchasing habits. While they may not know your name they do know how much money you spend and the types of products you buy.
Imagine little led screens on the shelves with ads tailored to you as you walk around. It's currently being marketed to salesmen to identify big spenders so they know who to spend the most time on.
Imagine the outcry when these stores use this to track shoplifters.

I will attest to the Albertsons tackle and punch policy.
We would mess you up. Truth

Had a grocery manager that reveled in it. He was a big guy (300+ lbs)and would sit on the perp til cops got there.

I know at Walmart security can ask them to stop but absolutely cannot make any physical contact i.e. forcing them to stop. Most, if not all, Baton Rouge Walmart’s have at least 1 police officer or sheriff’s deputy on duty 24/7.

100 dollars at Whole Foods is like ONE bag of groceries
$100 worth of groceries didn't cost the store $100.
I'm talking about cost to the store.
And it's possible to shop at whole foods and get a lot of stuff for under $100. Y'all don't sound like you shop there. I'm in there and Central market everyday.

I've seen standing ovations after catching shoplifters. They were glad we were keeping shrinkage as well as prices down.

Why intervene when fools like you pay their prices?
They're not losing money.
-IGA or piggly wiggly steak- $5.50
-Whole Foods same steak/size $29.95
-how much do they pay people to play bongo drum music?
-how much do they pay to make their store smell like probiotics with a touch of vitamins and weirdo lavender incense?

Watched a large BM walk behind the liquor counter at Albertson's 2 mths ago, the clerk a very small older lady standing right there. He calmly took a half gallon bottle of premium bourbon off the shelf, turned, bumped into the clerk, who was terrified, and walked out the store. Talked to the mgr shortly afterwards and he said the same thing, company policy prohibited store employees from touching a suspected shop lifter. The focus was on trying to get the merchandise....carts filled with groceries...back vs stopping the shop lifter. What was so amazing was the thief's demeanor, it was like he was strolling down the street, no big deal.

The former is USDA choice, the latter is prime. You aren't comparing the same product.
And whooe foods has prime Ribeyes at $19.99 a pound right now.

Yeah you aren't getting prime steak for $5.50/lb.

I have compared the cuts & quality there is no difference. knock yourself out on that big sale tho.

Clearly you don't know the difference between good quality and exceptional quality.
Big box stores are not getting the same quality meat as whole foods. It's simply a fact.

There's scientifically a difference, but I'm not surprised your trashy pallette can't tell a difference between two well done steaks slathered in Montreal Steak Seasoning and ketchup

Walmart and Kroger don't even get the same quality. USDA choice/prime is only a government classification set to certain standards. Different farms will have different meat. One farm could have a better marbled prime cut than another prime cut.
That's not even getting into the individual standards of each grocery chain. Some aren't as clean and nice as others.

Yes. They'd rather not open themselves up to lawsuits or have employees get killed saving $100 worth of groceries.
So you mean a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread.

This has absolutely nothing to do with liberal policies, you morons. It's about companies protecting their asses.
Protecting their asses from liberal lawyers that will have a lawsuit filed within 24 hours. Protecting their asses from the liberals at the ACLU, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the NAACP, and all those liberals that will orchestrate boycotts and smear their name on the internet and in the MSM. You better bet your arse this is about liberal people and policies. Jeez!
