AP as a whole is like that. Trailer, trailer, trailer, nice home, trailer, shack, nice home. I only thought EBR had poor planning. AP planned around the poor.

It was just approved this summer. AP don't frick around building schools. They throw up quality Primary schools like nobody in the State or even Texas for that matter. I know how ISD's work there.
Does Dutchtown still do 8 classes a day for the entire year?
That was some bullshite and way too much. A block schedule with 4 classes one semester and then 4 different the next semester like EA does is way better and less stressful.

It's the damn truth.
AP is making the same mistake BR made decades ago which is being a small cow town that did not plan ahead for the future with their infrastructure and now they're paying the price for it as BR is now too big for their current infrastructure.

Everyone can thank Deck Blvd for killing trailer parks in Ascension.
It fricked many people, but it killed trailer parks with how the developer did it.

They did 8, until this year with COVID, now they are doing 4 per semester. I don't know if they will go back next year or not

Good. And they should stay that way.
That is much less stress for the student where they're not juggling 8 subjects and gives the student more time to absorb the material with the benefit of being done with it in just one semester.
It's a good way to prepare the high school student for the college campus should they choose that route after graduation.
I know plenty of people that live in Dutchtown that chose to send their kids to EA and St. Amant to avoid the 8 classes a day.

I was at Dtown during the flood so I experienced both having 8 classes and having 4 classes. I was one of the few that greatly preferred the 4 class system. Felt as if I had way more to do outside of class during the 8 class years. Definitely did better overall during the 4 class year.

If there is ever a use for eminent domain, it's for those splotches of ghetto hood rats and white trash doublewides in that area around the nice arse subdivisions.
Get rid of them. They're a blight on this nice and peaceful middle class to upper middle class community.
And do the same with that junkyard mess of travel trailers at 73 & I-10 by the DQ. Place looks like a social experiment for code violations, talk about an eyesore

The subdivisions are a blight on what used to be a peaceful middle class community.

So is Roy Rogers, but they've been pretty quiet ever since the bar/ hangout/ whatever that is at Causey shutdown.

Some real questions: are you originally from ascension? If not, did you not notice the ghetto as you drove to your potential new house?
I’m always amazed by the people who move into Ascension unaware of that area, bishop woods, China town etc. Hell you can hear gun shots from bishop woods in seven oaks. People probably don’t even know where that is.
