I'm thinking those OF gals think of it kind of like everyone thinks of their parents. We all came about by our parents having sex, but we don't want to know about the ins and outs (

Your first sentence is correct, the devolution of society as a whole. 50 years ago something like this would have shamed everyone involved, now we have TV shows and channels devoted to fake reality tv, many about sex behaviors.
