She was acting sketchy on the couch, moved weird when she went over to the stove, then started saying weird stuff like she rebuked them in the name of the lord while holding a pot of scalding water. I 100% understand how she completely put them on edge.
But you pull that gun you better have your wits about you. This cop lost his shite. I dont totally blame him that he didnt want to wait until his face was covered in scalding water, but its a tough job and you cant shoot if shes not making the move.

I don't believe the shooting, in this instance alone, was justified. However, this is not 1st degree murder.

Yes, she had mental issues. People on X are saying she is a schizophrenic but she straightened up really fast when he pulled a gun and she was no longer a threat. She wasn't going to sling that water that far to do anything while crouching behind the cabinets

It’s an absurdly violent society that has very little skills in diffusing things with language, and really wants to kill. What makes anyone think cops are immune from that? A society raised on video games that lets you lash out, even murder is a society that has become desensitized to loss of human life in their heads.

She was an old woman with a pot of hot water. They were at her house because she called them and even if she was a little nuts, move outside where she can't throw the pot of hot water on you. That little old lady wasn't a threat to them at all. There are justified police killings that is made into a race thing that is total bullshite and then there are idiot police.
