You know what the great thing is about America in this day and age?
You can CHOOSE to either make something of yourself or not. You can CHOOSE whether to live your life as a victim or as an overcomer. Everyone will not have the same starting point. That's life. It's not fair. It will never be fair. But YOU can decide whether your beginnings ultimately make or break you.
I choose to live my life on my own terms. I choose to seize the opportunities afforded to me in this country instead of acting oppressed.
We can't change this country's past. It's checkered, as every nation's is, like i said in my previous post. What we CAN do is keep moving forward instead of regressing back into old hate/bitterness. Otherwise we'll never get past it.
Racism will never be completely stamped out. That's not a realistic goal. What we can strive for, however, is to make racist notions/actions ridiculous along the lines of flat-earth truthers today.

Sounds to me like a little respect & not breaking the law would help this situation out.

Because there is crime in America.. there are thugs in America. Tell me the every day murder rate in America as well home slice
What in the actual hell man?
Most are justified, some are not.. it's not always a racial issue like they are pushing it to be and further dividing our nation. That's the shite I can't stand.
Some idiotic cops, we could all march against that.. but the moment you continue to make everything black and white is the moment you continue to divide us.

If more people like Colin Kaepernick sit and demand action it will eventually arrive. ALL Americans should be held accountable by US law. If you grant a certain subset of the population special immunity and powers from the very laws in place, what's the point of having these laws?
IT'S NOT THAT frickING HARD TO STAY OUT OF TROUBLE AND ACT RIGHT.. IS IT?
ACT RIGHT.. LIVE RIGHT.. It's really simple.
Tell me again the numbers on crime rate when it comes to blacks against other races a-hole.
How about have some damn accountability.. why not march and protest against black crime? Huh? How about that?
Yes, there are rare situations.. there are people of all colors killed at times by incompetent cops.. but it's not worth starting up a racial war all over it. You accomplish nothing but setting our country back by these constant excuses. Nothing.
You think racist people are going to stop being racist? No. They have hatred and ignorance in their heart.. but I tell you what I have seen. I have seen such prejudice and hatred of race from your very people who support this movement. It's absolutely disgusting.
How about just be better than that? Huh? How about have some accountability and stop blaming the white man for all your problems. I have seen enough. There are black people who buy into this nonsense blaming mentality.. if you are oppressed then how about leave to another country.. if you really want to see oppression check out another country.. at least you are free to leave here.. We all go through shite. Every single one of us. All races have been persecuted against. Do other countries sit around and constantly bitch and moan about it to this day? Or do they take a step forward and CHOOSE to have love in their heart.. not hatred.
We are regressing.. you have people like this calling for safe spaces from whites.. can you not see how backwards that is.. we have come too far to then go right back to this black and white bullshite.. CK is doing NOTHING good except fueling up more hatred and divide in our nation.. and frick HIM for it. It's more likely he's using it as an excuse to bash America than anything. He has always been an immature punk.. so that should tell you something when it comes if you should support such a person.

Shaq is a man who actually is making a difference, unlike this attention seeking, America bashing/dividing a-hole Kaep.
Shaq has spent time being a police officer. Shaq is currently trying to put together a free children's hospital in Louisiana.
That's how you make a difference, by serving your communities and appreciating your blessings and making the most of your opportunities.

THIS.
I don't get how people can't know this (maybe it was taught to me in one of my "privileged" classes):
When a cop tells you to stop, you stop.
When a cop tells you to put your hands up, you put your hands up.
When a cop tells you to keep your hands out of your pocket, you keep your hands out of your pocket.
When a cop wants to arrest you, you let him.
If you have a problem with what he is doing then you get his name and badge number, file a complaint, and call your lawyer.
You DON'T act like Michael Brown or Alton Stirling. If they would've done as they were told then they'd both be alive today. It is that simple.
If Jesse Jackson, CK, or Obama really wanted to significantly decrease the number of blacks killed by cops then they would be preaching this every chance they could.

maybe the black community should demand action from themselves.
you want us to do something, you don't want us in your community.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but Ray Lewis is taking "heat" for telling Kaepernick to not involve the flag while doing what he is trying to do.

I wonder why this is?
Could be that the men and women of all different race that have fought for and many have died for this country? The flag and national anthem are a symbol of freedom that represent our country and our service men and women, past and present. How about show a little respect for their sacrifices and get off your butts and stand for the national anthem. There are other respectable ways to protest something.

His girl is a big BLM activist from my research. That's why.
He's being told what to do and he likes getting it at home.
