I wish flying had a lot of barriers to usage. BMI could be one, intelligence another one, smelling ok being another one, etc.

There should be designated rows for people that way over a certain amount. Not seats available when you look to book? Then look somewhere else.

So their should be a sign at ticketing:
No fatties
No dummies
No stinkies

It would be a decent start. I would like it to be even more restrictive than that. No pajamas, for example, is another good one. Must also carry a card allowing the wearing of yoga pants or otherwise revealing clothing. Cards must be issued by the Men of Airlines guild clothing review board, staffed with male airline pilots who are ex Navy or Air Force pilots. Reviews must be held in person at nearest airport and renewed annually via remote weigh in.

I think this is fair. Large body habitus rows. Six to eight seats on each plane. Each seat is 1.5 regular airplane seats wide. They cost 1.5 times as much. If a fatty tries to sneak by with a regular seat, they get booted and have to buy a new ticket in the fat rows.

A lot of tall people book extra legroom rows. Oversized rows could work. Oh wait first class exists and fatties do not purchase them.

I’m always amazed when I go home to
Louisiana at how fat the state is.

What the airlines need to do is to, instead of having a full row of three seats on each side of the aisle, make one side two seats that are wider and more expensive and then the other side you would keep the three seats at the regular price.

But tall people also have the exit row option.
I was once on a flight from Hartford, CT to Atlanta with the Connecticut WNBA team when they had to fly commercial. My wife and I had exit row seats. We are above average height, but no more than one standard deviation above the mean. We recognized the right thing to do and gave our exit row seats to those super-tall lesbians. The coach was 6'8"!

Lets bitch about something else - exit row seats should only be occupied by military age males who meet certain fitness and mental standards. I dont need some 79 year old black lady sitting right by the wing door if we need to ditch it in the water. Blows my mind that airlines allow that.
We as a country really need to get serious about not giving a frick about people's feelings.

Sure: So let's keep a list in chronological order for travel day OT approved conduct.
1) Take a shower with soap.
2) Brush your teeth.
3)Dress in appropriate clothing.
4)You only get a wheel chair if you are handicapped.
5) you don't line up until your zone is called.
6) you gate check your carry on if it is too big.
7) You put your carry on above your assigned seat, or as close to it as possible.
8) If your fat, you buy two seats or a first class seat.
9) Capable people and tall people get exit row priority.
10) Do not have telephone/video conference conversations on the plane.
11) Use headphones to listen to media at all times.
12) Don't put your feet in someone else's space.
13) Keep your shoes on for all flights < 3 hrs.
14) If seated in the aisle seat, stand up and get your bag, but do not advance beyond your row.
15) Wait for your aisle's turn to deplane.
16) Do not stop in the middle of the jet-way. If you need to stop, pull off to the side.
17) Walk on the right side of the jet-way. We aren't in the UK.

I have a friend who is 6’4”-6’5” and build like a tank. Runs and bikes and not much fat on him. He’s just a big ol’ country hoss. Can he fly or does he have to pay extra too? Or will we start doing BMI? What if you can crank out 50 pushups, are you exempt from the fat tax?
Seats are just too small now-a-days anyway. Even for normal sized people.
It's not a fat tax, and it's not punishment. More weight more fuel more cost. Tell big boy to pack light or cough it up.

No way should that be allowed. They need to buy two seats.
