We did something similar awhile back for 1996. Moving up 5 years produces some new candidates:

Chevrolet Silverado

Dodge Ram

Ford F150

>
GMC Sierra

Toyota Tundra

I had a ‘99 F-150. Same body style as the one in the picture with the 4.6 Triton V-8. Loved that truck.

I bought a 2002 Silverado in December 2001 when they first offered 0%.

5.3 was a bulletproof power train.

Got hit by drunk driver in 2015 and totaled it.

The Tundra styling obviously copied Ford. But did it better IMO.

GM for sure. That 5.3 with that 6 speed is bulletproof. I should have never sold mine. You can easy get 350K on those trucks with just routine maintenance.

2001 ram cause that’s what I bought. Single cab off-road sport package with the 5.9 and 4.10 gears.

Looked like this but silver.

There still millions of GMT800s on the road for a reason and there would still be millions of Tundra in the road of they had sold that many back then.

The others...... Not so much.
