False. There are many options. I spent 8 years of my life working with others on solutions. We presented the solutions. The solutions have been ignored. They are not cheap options and they are not easy options, but they are options.

Your options must not be in line with the US Army Corps of Engineers ideas. They control the entire thing and whatever they say goes even if it is a terrible idea. I think they like terrible ideas best because that gives them work to do later fixing it.

St Marks Square is flooded about 2 months a year now and the Dutch are light years ahead of most everyone else in the living under sea level game.
Flooding has always been a real existential problem for Holland and they have always seen it as such and addressed it as if it was.

It was built in the place it needed to be, and the original footprint is fine. They expanded into places they had no business building. 19th century engineers had a lot of hubris about their ability to tame nature. Their descendants have found out otherwise.

Welfare system doesn't help either or as some people call it Flood Insurance. If you take that away I am sure the problem will fix itself.

Why post sea Level rise effecting the levee in 4 years....
NOAA Sea Level
from 1993 - 2014 (21 years) NOAA says sea level rose 2.6" or less then 1/8" per year.
so in 4 years, at there listed rate, sea level will be 1/2" higher... so the levee will be obsolete because of a 1/2" rise? 96 years before it rises 1'......
it sounds like the issue is sinking levee..... not really sea level rise
