Sitting in a deer blind. Evening hunt and a team of hogs came out of nowhere…….never knew I could climb a tree without limbs. Lol.

This isn't necessarily that scary, but it did scare the ever loving shite out of me. I was walking to my stand during early bow season, so it was still hot outside. I was walking and wasn't really paying a whole of attention to my surroundings.
As I was walking, I heard a loud arse noise. It was almost like the wind was blowing hard and the leaves in the trees were rustling with the breeze. Well, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted what was making the noise. A very big rattlesnake coiled up at the base of a tree around 10 or so feet to the side of me.
Fortunately, I didn't shite down my leg. I'll tell you one thing though....that got me out of my lackadaisical walk to the stand. That also taught me to carry a pistol to the stand when it's that hot outside.

Walked up on a square hole in the ground, nearby noose, and a bunch of steel trash cans with axe holes in them. Was always rumored that there was devil worshipers in those woods.

I once took a shite in the woods and accidentally wiped my arse with poison ivy. Spread from my arse to my balls. It was not a pleasant experience.

the dam that was as close to being human woman without being human that It could be….and it was loud. Scariest sound I’ve ever heard. It was one of the two times in my life the hair stood up on the back of my neck. I turned and hauled arse and it screamed two more times to make sure I knew it was serious. My smoking arse sprinted a quarter mile. I know it wasn’t a bobcat because I’ve heard those before

Worked at Yellowstone Nat. Park in college, at the Fishing Bridge complex. Company employees were allowed to have small bonfire parties on the beach after getting a permit from the Ranger Station. No tv, movies, nothing else to do, so we always had our parties every nite. It was a 30 minute walk through thick woods by a path, from the main girls dorm. Bears were always on our minds but after a 5-6-7 hour party, we always forgot about them for the most part. One nite walking back with my woman & another couple, another employee hiding along the path jumped out at us with a seriously real,loud growl. He was holding a medium sized stuffed bear used as decoration in the store. Pitch black, in the middle of nowhere, this "bear" came flying at us. The other girl fainted dead to the ground, we all went into shock. Scared the shite out of us almost literally. He started laughing, holding the bear, & took off through the woods. We were too frozen to react. Then, anyway.

Out camping with buddies by a natural pond on their land. Middle of the night after we're all in our tents a minimum of 5 diff packs of coyotes in full cardinal direction coverage started yapping and howling real good. I know they were considering the meal, but we had pleeeenty of shotguns and sidearms and even a few ARs. We slept fine.
It did get us thinking healthily about what could have been, but per usual we were there to plink around a lot that time.

One morning, I went bank fishing at a nearby reservoir. It must have been right around a time change because the sun hadn’t even peeked over the horizon yet. I parked and walked a short distance through the woods on a path I knew very well. I started fishing and noticed the lights of a bass boat approaching from the ramp that was to the south. If you didn’t know about the road I came in on, most boaters would think those were just woods. Sure enough, the boaters aimed in my direction, killed their big motor, and started getting ready to fish. One guy looked at their fish finder and was excited because he saw lots of bait fish. They were maybe 15 feet away at that point and I clearly heard his normal speaking voice. I said “Good morning!” and you could tell they were on the receiving end of a creepy experience in the woods. I turned on my phone and the light from the home screen was enough to illuminate me. I asked how they found me and they laughed. They apologized and said they’d move on. We had a little more conversation and they were gone.

I was walking out of the woods once just after dark when I heard a noise that seemed right at my feet. I stooped and bent over so I could hear better and then realized I was hearing the sound of a rattlesnake.
Close second. When I was in high school My friend and I were driving the backroads of a north Louisiana parish when we came upon a cabin. We walked up to it and found the door unlocked. As we were exploring I open a door to a closet and saw dozens of white KKK robes and hoods.
