Anything in the forecast for us down here in the promised land (northshore)?

God I hope my kids don't hear this. They'll be constantly asking "When will it snow? When will it snow?"

Yesterday they were calling for 1-3 inches of snow here in east central Georgia Sunday morning but now they're just saying some freezing rain. Who knows, most of the time when they predict things like that several days ahead of time they wind up being completely wrong

This is when you let them know that a clean room increases the chances so they better get started now.

The current pattern has kept the Tennessee Valley snow chances pretty high week after week

The storm will be what meteorologists refer to as "Saskatchewan Screamer" rather than an "Alberta clipper," AccuWeather Meteorologist Matt Benz explained.
The storm is forecast to dive nearly due south from the Saskatchewan province of Canada, hence the nickname, instead of the more traditional starting point in Alberta, Canada.

"Saskatchewan Screamer" sounds like an episode name from Letterkenny

It won't hang around long, though. 40s right before and low-to-mid 40s the next day. We'll get below freezing, but won't stay there.

This is the kind of snow that will look pretty for about 8 hours then make a muddy mess. Don't sleep in, or you may miss it.

if that doesnt deliver flurries to the Northshore Id be very surprised.

Ok.. not very but the odds are better than most of you think to see some flakes.

You should look at 0z gfs. NEXT Friday. Might have a better chance with most snow missing LA this weekend

Let's check the next few runs. The variance from run-to-run has been wide. It is just now getting into the window for the Ensembles to start picking it up, and they aren't showing much at 204 hours.

The 00z GFS did bring the snow/freezing rain back over South LA, but the 18z had nothing.
