Really dumb question, but I'm guessing from an ash/blacking out the sun perspective, an underwater volcano is better than a giant mountainous one right?

HRRR wants to set up a decent snow band in SW Arkansas heading towards Monroe but has Monroe transitioning back to rain after it starts snowing. If we stay a little cooler we might get some decent action.

The Northshore doesn’t look like it will see any. Good luck to anyone dealing with ice.

ETA, what is the timeframe of that image?

Double edged sword. Shreveport stops at the river. Jackson watches east.

Eta: Not really river, per se, but Ouachita/Richland.
