But it's Freshwater so all that's gonna sink to the bottom.

By definition glaciers are on land.
So it’s gonna break off and fall on land. No sea level rise.

Adding ice to the ocean would immediately raise sea levels, doesn’t matter whether it’s melted or not.
Right, but they aren't saying the glacier would collapse into the ocean in 5 years but features that slow it down would fail. We are talking about something that moves less than a mile a year. It would still take hundreds of years for that thing to make it completely into water.

Two thoughts
1- most of it is already in the water, like has been discussed
2- if scientists would get all that shite off it, it could likely handle its own load and not break off

Massive efforts to airlift the glacier for relocation above ground zero of the Yellowstone super volcano are underway.

Sounds like a plot for a new Christopher Nolan film.

Does anyone know where Lex Luther is these days? Need to keep an eye on his real estate acquisitions.

So that's 37,000 cubic miles of ice.
The world's oceans cover about 140 million square miles. If this entire glacier were to melt and/or slide completely into the sea, it would raise the sea level by 37k / 140 m = 0.00026 miles, or 1.4 feet.
I am admittedly not a mathematical genius, but you are dividing cubic miles (volume) by square miles (area).
Something is missing, isn't it?

One of the best replies ever.
Crawfish prices should plummet. high water

Another prediction that will fail to happen just like every other climate doomsday they have spouted for the past 50 years. Remember, in the 70s they said we would be in an ice age by now.

Interesting that factual information on a “potentially catastrophic” change to the environment costs money. Kinda downplays the severity of the situation, no? A bit like running a 24/7 advertising campaign for a supposedly lethal virus.

Ah the water shortage trope from the progs. How does water escape the planet?

You libs suck at math. Holy fricking shite.
A square is 2d a cube is 3d.
Your conversion is way off.

Yachts, G6 jets, and waterfront property on the east coast are still being purchased by liberals.
We're going to be fine.
