You say that like it's a bad thing.

Straight up: According to you, which is worse?

a) the United States having a "stranglehold on the world"

b) North Korea having nuclear reactors

There was a lot of speculation that this was done by the Korean Naval Special Warfare Flotilla. These are bad-arse dudes SEAL/UDT trained Korean Naval SF.

Oh shite! There’s only one thing big nuff in the ocean that craves nuclear power and can take out ships.

[quote]The black sea connects to the med.......exit the med and go thru panama canal would be my guess.
It seems like the Suez Canal would've been a better bet. But maybe they were trying to be secretive.

The ship left the baltic/north sea not the black. It was likely transiting to the Suez across the western med

One theory is the Russians sold the reactors to NK without ever intending to actually transfer them, so they sank the ship themselves.

This is the most Russian thing I've ever read.

The damage indicates a super cavitating torpedo. NATO, Russia and Iran are navies known to have them. I think we can rule Iran out, they lack any motive.

Exactly how would a cavitating propeller effect a torpedo's warhead damage to a ships hull?

Cavitation effects the torque a propeller exerts pushing water doesn't it.

The torpedo cavitates in front. Breaks up the solid water to allow for less drag as it goes.

Really.fast.

Why was a cargo ship travelling from Russia to North Korea off the coast of Spain?

I would imagine it was takin a shortcut via the Suez.

A super cavitating torpedo is a little different. It's rocket powered and runs inside a self generated air bubble, making it up to five times faster than a standard torpedo.
Apparently it has a distinct signature on impact.

That's where Orcas are attacking ships. Maybe they've upped their game...
Phase two is to use the reactors to irradiate themselves and mutate into super orca kaiju.
Phase three is world domination

This is off topic a bit and I don't know why I didn't realize this, but I didn't realize St Petersburg was so close to waterways.

St Petersburg is the location of the headquarters of the Russian Navy.
