I don’t like the jazz fest culture of outrageous ticket prices, food prices, pervasive weed, etc. Jazz fest is no longer family friendly. This news is hilarious to me!

What's your opinion on the pervasive alcohol?

So you're saying that for some $200 I can spend a great Thursday outdoors smoking up a bunch of weed, enjoying great food, not having kids and strollers (ugh) running around -- and not being bothered by old-people music from the Rolling Stones?

Hmmm...

BTW: has anyone noticed what other bands are scheduled for that day?

I don't find the food prices to be bad considering how food is usually priced at a festival and the food is awesome and so is the selection choices. I do think the ticket prices have gotten out of hand considering the original concept of jazz fest. But with bigger names come bigger expenses.

Didn’t they add a Thursday this year? Wonder what Thursday the Stones were supposed to play?

Usually there’s only one Thursday but I thought I remember hearing they added a Thursday this year.

Yes, it was going to be called Ruby Thursday. I guess it’s good bye Ruby Thursday.

The Rolling Stones was one of the best shows I've ever been to. At least it was in 1989 and 1992.

that is the cringiest "music" video I can think of

It really is, and for so many different reasons. She was definitely hoping to be the next 'get crunk' anthem of the Saints, but fell far short of even being enjoyable. She tries so hard with her little, wanna be black woman smirk, and the whole video is just stupid. I wonder how much she paid for that video shoot.

Oh, I'd definitely hit it, even though you're not supposed to stick your dick in crazy.

The ticket and food prices are not bad. Waaay less weed smell than 10, 15, or 30 years ago. It’s a damn good time and everyone I know brings their kids at least one day each year

In addition to the limited tickets as others mentioned, You are forgetting that the fest doesn’t have to pay the stones now either. That was a lot of money

Usually on Thursday’s and Fridays are the kid days.

My kids school excuses absences if they are going to Jazz Fest.
