They better give us a full refund. Ain't nobody else worth seeing there
You mean you aren't going to see Brown Sugar and the Monkey Men playing the gospel tent at 11:00?

I was at that Supderdome concert in '81. It sucked.

I just dont get why your panties are all wet.
It’s the 50th anniversary of the fest and they wanted to add something extra this year.
No matter if it’s the Stones or any other major booking , when a group has to cancel a month before, what do you think is supposed to happen? It’s not like you just call in a favor and a top ten band will just say no problem and decide to come play.

Anyone have eyes on the text of the ticket?
If so, does it simply say "50th Annual Jazz and Heritage Festival" on it and nothing about the Rolling Stones? If so, then you may be stuck without a refund.

Jazz Fest with the emotional rescue !
Posted on 3/30/19 at 5:15 pm to TigerAlumni2010
Really bad news. Are some of y’all really so miserable that y’all are reveling in the fact that an iconic band canceled on the 50th anniversary of a fest that a lot of ppl look forward to all yr? Seems strange to talk shite. However, I feel bad for the ppl that waited in line for hrs to get tickets or even worse paid hundreds of dollars over face value w/ no course for that reimbursement. Hopefully they come through w/ a great replacement but it won’t be The Stones on the Acura stage.

Wait, what? I was only a little kid then, but i’ve always thought it woulda been really cool to have been there, esp since it was in Guinness as the largest indoor rock concert in history.. why did it suck? Stones also played the Dome in ‘78 and ‘89, wonder if those sucked too(?)
Posted on 3/30/19 at 5:29 pm to Sweltering Chill
Yes. 89 sucked. Dome is a terrible venue for the Stones.

Just got an email from Ticketmaster that says Vince Vance and the Valiants will be playing on the Acura Stage in place of The Rolling Stones, and that refund information will be made public soon.
Posted on 3/31/19 at 12:07 am to BRgetthenet
They didn't want to get robbed walking off the stage. Understandable.

The dude from The Wedding Crashers has as band? I didn't know that.

Vince was around the corner from my house on Mardi Gras day partying. Dude is a class act.

I am in a State of Shock. Can’t believe this shite.

Why is your response a gif of people hysterically laughing? I don’t understand why so many people are laughing about this much less even care.
Do people think the fest sold out with stones day tickets or something and now like that it’s blowing up in its face?

you actually think they were going to cancel the stones and then not issue anyone refunds for that day??

I’ve got tickets and I’d be ok if they turned that ticket into an “all jazz fest” pass. If that got me admission every day of jazz fest I’d be cool with that.
