neighbor to my right and his wife are good people. He and I hunt and go shooting at the range together and watch out for each other when we are out of town. Neighbors across the street are our age and have a son a little older than my son and we get together every couple of months for a cookout and let the boys wear themselves out. The husband was out of town for work last week when their dog passed away and I buried the dog so the wife didn't have to. Neighbor to my left just moved in and besides the neighborly wave and how are you doing, we haven't talked much, but he is quiet and maintains his yard so it was better than the last people that owned the house.

I live in BFE. There are a couple of houses on my street. I'll wave to people standing outside these houses but I never actually talk to them and they don't talk to me. That's about as good a relationship as you can have with your neighbors IMO.

Most lots in our neighborhood are 3 to 5 acres. Get along great with all the neighbors. Distance is a good thing for friendships.

I mostly just don't talk to my neighbors. Just kind of mind my business mostly. One lady that lives on the side of me has kept some packages for me before though that came in the mail, and she did ask for some advice from me once about something that is tangentially related to one of my hobbies and I was happy to talk with her for a minute.

My neighbors are great, as long as my freezer stays plugged in, I hardly even notice if they are around.

I get along with them great. No clue what their names are or what they look like.

My neighbors are all doctors, so despite their inherent douchebagginess, it is to my benefit that I indulge their idiotic questions, habits and lack of social skills.

And they all read tigerdroppings and know my name, so...

Hey guys!

I do. Both of my neighbors are good. One is an older couple who is quiet and is always willing to offer a helping hand.

The other neighbor is a widow. She must be in her mid 40s. Her husband passed away from cancer and they have three kids. They are rarely ever home. The majority of my neighborhood are retired couples.

When I was a kid, we use to have neighbors that we didn't get along with.

Our neighbors are great. Couldn't ask for a better couple. Both their kids are well behaved. Very lucky to have them.

I've always had great neighbors everywhere I've lived, except for one. She would call the cops on us every night. It first started when we moved in and I was taking my sleeping baby upstairs to put her to bed (she claimed my stairs were too loud). After a month, when the cops would come over every single night, we would invite them in and talk to them on first name bases. They would sit around for five minutes or so, shoot the shite and apologize for having to come over. This went on for 3 years.

We ended up selling our house and moving (not because of her). The night before, I pointed my sprinklers and water hoses all in her front yard. The next morning after everything was packed, I backed my truck into her front yard and floored it forward and and reversed about 50 times until her entire lawn was plastered onto the front of her house.* I sure do miss those super swamper tires.

I get along with mine because we never speak. I don't know their names, and I'm assuming they don't know me. I'm a big believer in good fences (literal and metaphorical) make good neighbors. If they need an egg or something, I am happy to provide. But, otherwise the current arrangement is working out great.

I know 10 of our 11 neighbors (1 new family just moved in). My good buddy lives across the street. Weekend dinners, games, cigars. We all severely bonded when the city flooded and we all were surrounded by the river waters for 3 days without power. Good folks.

If you don't know your neighbors, get to know them!

Yeah. Things like hurricanes, floods, etc. definitely can bring a neighborhood together. We were close with ours before but going through things like the lack of power after Katrina and a couple of the other storms definitely made us all tighter.
