It would suck if you worked your arse off and graduated a semester early and got stuck with your bills.

The student who screwed around and pushed graduation back a semester feels like a dumbass now too

Do you ever get the feeling that some people are ‘woke’ and actually aware of life and living?

Yet others - mostly married people doing the same arse thing day-in and day-out just sort of ‘drone’ through life?

Sometimes - well, all the time - I wonder if I am the woke or the drone. Maybe i’ll get offered the blue or red pill one day.

But there does seem to be a distinct difference between those who are aware and those who aren’t.

This guy, well, he seems to be woke.

I wouldn't. I'd have been no worse off if my speaker had done the same.

And you can spin that in your favor. You have 400 people in your network who are debt free. They can try to start a business now, or can be more selective about what job to take, and in both cases that creates opportunities for you that you wouldn't otherwise have.

Seems like a taxable event for these fine graduates.

Good luck with that!

This is great. I bet it’s hard to pay back those student loans working for the council on aging and other government graft organizations that most of these kids will end up working for

You have to make almost $45 per hour (before taxes) to work 20 hours a week and cover the total cost of attendance for one year at Howard.

if you structure it right it isn't

Let's say you have 50k in student loans. A 50k lump sum to zero out the loan the day after graduation? Taxed.

An amount that offsets the yearly payment for years but not too much in any one year? Not taxed

Imagine being in huge amounts of student debt and going to a school whose degree is worthless.
