My bad, for some reason it submitted in the middle of typing.

If I was going to be a debt free graduate of that college before he announced that, I would be super pissed

I bet the kid that worked 20 hours a week to pay for his own education feels like an idiot now.

Okay. He could do worse things with his money.

Very nice of him.
Unfortunately, I think now every college kid will think that there is a “chance” that it will happen to them as well.

No shite
I never took out student loans when I was in school. I'd be pissed if I found out that I could have been partying on this dude's dime the whole time

It would suck if you worked your arse off and graduated a semester early and got stuck with your bills.

Seen stories interviewing several kids and they’ve all got between $70,000 and $ 90,000 in debt.. for an undergrad degree... seems way too excessive and unnecessary.
Would’ve like to have seen what degrees they actually obtained

Morehouse tuition is about 30K a year without other fees and boarding.
That’s one hell of a part-time job if their tuition, room, and board is covered with it.

quote:that's probably nobody there... When such a job won't help much in eliminating debt, it becomes an inefficient use of time.

I will agree that this is a political statement more than anything. Student loan debt is a big issue for the educated millennial class
