Chicago and NYC are “nice” when the client is paying for my $300 a night hotel room
$300? How long has it been since you’ve been to those cities? Nice is over $500 per night now. It’s actually $494 for a standard room at the Hyatt Regency in 2 weeks.

re: How do you handle paternity leave in performance rankings

For the paternity leave is weakness crowd, I’m a middle aged dude who got 1 day off provided by MegaCorp; however, I don’t begrudge those newer dads who take off the time their company allows them because from my vantage point those friendly policies are implemented to make the company look more attractive to younger hires WITHOUT having to offer higher pay.

I feel like it’s the talking idiot heads on ESPN that spoke all this NIL shite into existence and teams leaving conferences. Why was a good thing ruined or needed to be changed?
With the utmost sincerity I ask if you realize ESPN did not start this? It was the United States Supreme Court who ruled against the NCAA in their efforts to limit education-related compensation for student-athletes. The USSC said the NCAA violated antitrust laws.
So sorry to hear this. I will pray for you both.

This! Serious question, can you no longer rip a guy a new one in the NIL era?

I began filling out the application in an attempt to get the price (no luck), but I did get the time...4 mins. Uh, I got to know how much I am going to pay for 4 mins. Not sure what to do with 4 mins except look for something I dropped.

ton of body contact that doesn't get called in women's basketball for some reason
I absolutely agree and don’t understand it. It’s the same at the jr high level. Way more contact allowed in girl’s / women’s basketball…like 80s NBA
Is there another video that shows what happened? I didn’t see much other than what appears to one officer pinned down by fire or taking cover? Am i missing other videos? Sincerely asking.

20 dollars a month for wifi sounds like a good deal to me
Agreed! I thought they were doing this to garner good will until I read the article really closely and wondered if they were only renting routers for that price, but it ain’t much more than Xfinity

All these companies are reckless during the booms and shortsighted during the busts.
This round of industry consolidation is not about production growth. It is about inventory. Inventory is getting more expensive because, as you noted, exploration efforts in countries one feels confident they will get their money out of are not going that great.
Re: exploration, it is long cycle and so hard to accurately predict ROR. Investors want short cycle, higher margins / returns, in countries one can feel confident about.

"Limited Supply" = 'Oh man! ya just missed the last one of those $10k rebated trucks...but since you are here, let me show you some of our available inventory!'
That was exactly the response I repeatedly got looking for a GM SUV earlier this year. Oh darn, that one on our website marked down $5K was sold, but we have this one we already added x, y, and z too for $5K above sticker...

Hold your personal items like the instructions say!
You can buy a club membership and first-class seat to minimize exposure to this behavior in the future, including being the first to board and having plenty of space for your carryon. I pride myself on being accountable for myself and considerate to others. These two values begin to conflict when the last guy boarding wants me to move my oversized work bag so he can put his massive roller board overhead.

Was this the most cost effective way to go? I don't know.
Thanks! I appreciate you sharing. I’ve been wanting a generator but can’t justify the cost for the 12 - 24 hours a year I wish I had one. I was wondering if I could get tax credits, store, and sell power then would it make more sense.

long term investment, looking good so far
I’m being sincere when asking, what’s the time to payout? Seems like 10-15 yrs on an undiscounted cash flow basis that also ignores the opportunity cost vs other investments, but am I not thinking about this correctly?

re: Aerosinusitis cure?

I have sought professional help for this issue. Here is what I was told...
Before you board the plane or take off, spray each nostril with Afrin, take Pseudoephedrine (available behind the counter without a prescription in most states), e.g., Mucinex D, Sudafed (not the PE version), take OTC pain meds, on the flight you can use a Breath Right strip. You won't look cool or join the Mile High club using nasal strips, but it helps.
The issue is your head is stopped up and the pressure cannot normalize.

How much are property taxes?
When I moved from Louisiana to Texas, my TX property taxes were as much as my LA income and property taxes combined in Louisiana. My home value was exactly the same as it was a Louisiana. It’s a wash. It does seem like more of your taxes stay local though. However, there is a Robinhood Act that sends some of your taxes to poor counties.
