And see, this is exactly my point .. in my post i said or implied NOTHING about you or people i disagree with being filled with “hate” .. i said we think *differently*… Different is not good or bad, it’s just different .. so as your post proves, why are we (again im loosely using ‘we’ since im not currently there, but have been there for most of my 47 years) why are we spinning our wheels ?? We will never agree, AND THAT’S OK… like the old Phil Collins tune, let’s just live seperate lives .. and try to find some peace .

Just to add- i guess i just dont understand why we all keep spinning our wheels and trying to coexist… im careening towards 50 yrs old in a few short years, i dont know how much time i got left.. what is the point of all the arguing and carrying on ? I say we just split amongst coast vs flyover country, or cities divided against outlying suburban

Their 32 year old son, Nick, is suspected. The police have him in custody and they are questioning him. For those of you suspecting a double suicide, this is a near impossibility with knives, unless they both slashed their wrists.

Seems like if he wanted calmness, with no social media or phones, he could have just turned his phone and TV off, and put aside his computer and/or tablet. I don't understand why you have to check yourself into a facility -- no doubt a pricey one -- or why you felt the need to announce it to the world. Just do it.

I think you are missing my point. I agree with you.
America WAS that way. It was created exactly as you are talking about. To coexist peacefully. And it can be that way again.
I wonder what could have changed in the last few decades to change this so starkly?
I believe it is the media that used to report the news and now they shape the news.
That is what needs to change. Not a “national divorce”.

Sorry to call you out bud, but you literally assumed i must “hate” your ilk , based on my politics .
Im sure there are many on your “side” who would hate people who think the way i do.. but it sort of begs the question: Why would you want this to continue ?? If you think you’re hated by people whose ideology is diametrically opposed to yours, why on earth do you want to try to coexist peacefully with us/them ? Im just exhausted, and im not even *in* the US currently .. and with all due respect , i dont agree with you that it “can be that way again”.. i think that’s kinda delusional, we are past that .
