Gas station just outside of Houma has a sign that says “Please DO NOT Poo in the Urinal”

Nastiest bathroom I've ever been in was in Tiger Stadium. My 5yo had to go, I brought him to the urinal and he said, "No daddy, I got to poop". Every toilet was overflowing with piss, turds and toilet paper and all of that was on the floor as well. I had to hold him up over one of the toilets until he was done. I can look back a d laugh now but I was pissed when I was going through it. People are nasty animals and that's one of the reasons I prefer to stay home and watch the games at my own house, AC, heat, comfortable couch, all the food and drinks I care to eat and drink and above all else, clean bathrooms.

Stopped at Shell station in Brookshire TX on I-10 (south of) and found more pee on the men’s room floor than water in toilets.

So you opted to pee at a shitty shell station as opposed to the Buc-ee’s 30 minutes away?
Maybe pay attention when you’re driving. It’s no one’s fault but your own that you entered a piss filled bathroom.

Rest stop in Oklahoma. It was something out of the third world or a horror movie. Completely filthy, flooded with toilet water, garbage everywhere, and the lights didn’t even work. If I’d been in my own car rather than a rental, I would’ve left my shoes in the parking lot. I think the state finally tore it down recently.

With due respect to this cult-like ethos

Adding 20min to12hr drive day is worth more than a wall of beef jerky. If I wanted to traverse that roundabout and reach north of I-10 nook to spend the extra 20min navigating that chaos in store, could have.

Or Shell could have just mopped once this decade, too.

Was this Miles’ 1st game that Monday night (Katrina year) game against Tennessee?

I had a 5yo with me at that super hot, stress in the air, sloppy drinking people all around me. Bathroom description fits that memory. And lost in OT after sizable halftime lead.

The old station at the 55 ramp in LaPlace they had half of it torn down and it smelled so bad when I opened the door my eyes were watering. I held it in till Hammond and stopped at a Motel. As someone before me said you can't beat that and always clean.

I haven't used a gas station/rest stop toilet in decades.

I'll pull into some uninhabited turnout and piss behind a tree. Trees like the water.

I have dumped behind a tree also. Much more cleaner than some damned gas station toilet.

And yet many people on this very site don't believe it's nasty to wear shoes in their homes.
I am completely ignorant to the habits of the no shoe people. Do you take them off at the back door and walk them to your bedroom?

NASCAR campground porta-john. Pyramid of shite and a carpet of piss and pubes is the best way to describe it.

Another one of note- worked at grocery store as a teen. Manager sent me to clean the bathroom. Someone had painted a dong on the wall with shite. I ran the hose from the meat department and just stood in the doorway and hosed it all down.

I get it, and agree. but there are plenty other places to stop to go to the bathroom when you're just outside one of the largest cities in America.

I'm more likely to stop on the side the road and piss then go into a shitty gas station. If it's not a Bucees or Loves or Pilot, or similarly nice looking gas station i'm not stopping to go to the bathroom. And i don't stop to just go to the bathroom anyway. If i'm stopping it's b/c i need gas and food, and i'll pee. I'm not a woman. I'm not goign to stop just so i can go pee. Tha'ts what the side of the road is for if for some reason you can't hold it.

Well, I can tell a tale of a time not so long ago that I felt for the people entering the bathroom after my road trip companion got done in there. It all started with a Buccees sausage and cheese cup. My companion said he was having tummy troubles after eating it. Next thing I know, he is doing deep breathing exercises in the seat next to me. He was able to warn me that a stop may be necessary despite being about 40 mins from our destination. About 90 seconds later, I was informed that the stop was no longer a possibility, but an urgent need. Of course there was nowhere to stop, so deep breathing, prayers, curses, locked legs, squeezed arse cheeks, and shite sweats passed the next several miles. When I finally spotted a McDonald’s and a gas station right next to each other, he bailed before the truck was stopped. I waited FOR-E-VER and when he finally came out, it was at great speed. He jumped into the car and said to go before the attendants caught us and asked for damages. The smell clung to this individual. My eyes watered. He could tell the smell followed. I had to check his shirt for shite ricochet, it was that bad. After a second wave of shite sweats and deep breathing on the way, we made it to our destination for him to proceed to destroy the bathroom there as well. So, beware of the sausage and cheese cup.

Not really road travel, but the Alligator Hilton bathroom was not too great. For sure you only wanted to piss in it.

But of course you take a dump and shower before you go out, so there was little risk of that.

My dad had a small store in s Shreveport for a while back in the day. The toilet was not "public" but one day a dot inidan begged and begged him to use it, so he let him. Guy defecated all over the floor in bathroom and didn't get any in the toilet. Dad had to shovel it out. "never again." and he didn't .

I had to make a stop in Monroe at a gas station, the men's was so bad I knocked on the womens and went in. it was worse. used tampons on floor. dang it was bad.

there is an ex-stuckies 40 miles east of Houston in the west lane side. The halal signs in the windows should have turned us around, Its an East Indian run facility and the stench of feces was a show stopper walking in. Worst in the US
