I don't know what the physiological reason is that men miss the target and piss all over the floor. I take a wide stance at the urinal. But I'm sure I have a lot of genetic material on the soles of my shoes anyway.

Never, ever stop in Crow Agency, MT at night. Bathroom felt like something out of a Balkan horror movie - hanging wires, flashing lights, unknown stains and graffiti, and angry locals.

not exactly a travel stop, but was on a train in a -stan country that just had a hole in the floor of the car to go in

was also at a camp down on the bayou once that had a 5 gallon bucket to go in

Burger King off I-10, somewhere west of the river from Baton Rouge.

Dirty, crowded, and busted stall door when I had to shite. Got yelled at by an old man telling me to lock the door when he walked in on me, trying to reach down and hold the door shut while doing my bidness.

If i need to shite its always a hotel lobby.

Pro tip i learned traveling to west Texas. If you are in need of a clean bathroom along the interstate, stop at a hotel.

There is always some just as close, or closer, than a gas station when exiting.

Bathroom will almost always be clean and not being used.

USSR 1980s. Large indoor space that smelled bad. Brick floor. 2 bricks stacked on either side of the hole in the floor. Communist Toilet.

There was a cafe in North Texas, now out of business. It had great food. But, one day I made the mistake of going to the men's room, which was accessed from outside (different health code and style in 1984). The toilet was full of shite ... literally. The water wasn't working so employees (I assume) took shits until the shite reached the top of the bowl. I don't think you could take a dump without dragging through the waste unless you did the squat with feet on the lid. I never went there again.

I think this was a short term issue.

Circle K bathrooms are some of the nastiest on planet Earth.

Stopped at one a few days ago in Glendale, AZ. Graffiti all over the walls. Piss all over the urinal. Piss all over the floor. The sinks didn't work. No soap or paper towels. The toilet stall area had dirty clothes and shite all over the place. No air conditioning.

Was one of the dirtiest I've seen.

Custer, MT is not much better, but Crow Agency is terrible. Of course, in regards to angry locals, 96% of them are Native Americans, so they hate outsiders. Our church did some work in Pine Ridge, SD, and the locals were very hateful toward us, but I get it.
