And I'm sure Catholics never say bad about Protestants?

Other than the "keep a baptist from drinking your beer by inviting another baptist" joke or bitching about y'all hogging all the good chain restaurants for Sunday lunch, no one pays y'all any mind. Meanwhile I grew up around baptists who insisted Catholics weren't Christian and going to hell because they "worshipped Mary and prayed to saints." Just a purposeful misunderstanding via hatred.

ETA: Methodists are cool. Probably the most "normal" denomination imo

I learned a lot from his stuff growing up. I might not agree with him or a lot of it now, it I'm grateful for the upbringing I got now.

And then the board was understood.

Don't know the man who died, RIP, but based on this thread, he seems to have influenced a lot of our OT brethren. I guess that's where they get their hate from. What a shame.

I wasn't aware of the trans day of remembrance in...Ohio, but yep, Methodists in my experience are by far the least judgey and most accepting of the Christian denominations.

Sounds like the way I raised my four children, all of whom are happily married, were gainfully employed within months of leaving college, and are a credit to their communities. None of the four have ever been in any trouble or on the public dole.

Well when you reject Christs church and help set up your own church based on your own picking from the Apostles teaching and rejecting those that don’t fit your liking you are indeed a heretic.

Well my example is from a Pope not something a layman of the faith says.

That's awesome, and my parents are 3/4 in that regard as well. I'd like to think you and my parents are emotionally mature enough to understand the implications of corporal punishment, and took time to make sure it was coming from a place of learning/behavioral correction rather than anger. Many are unfortunately not well-equipped enough to do so.

You’d have a point if Dobson had gone to Medical School.

Focus on the Family is far more credible that Family Research Council. FRC constantly says, "If we could just raise more money, our endorsed candidates would win." However, they keep choosing to endorse loser candidates
