I have not had pizza hut in a while as I prefer a local pizza shop near my house.

It's just yet another example of MBA goons coming in and stripping and killing yet another American brand.

PE is a cancer on society.

Yum purchased them in the late 90s. That was about the time it started to get worse because they began centralizing cooking at a central location and bringing everything in frozen.

So you're not wrong, but at this point it's long been dead as a legitimate chain. KFC is on about the same track.

Could be a good thing. Not all PE companies trash the value of a company. Pizza Hut was reporting several quarterly sales loss and was changing this up a bit by opening the buffet's back up.

I hope they continue doing so and improve the recipe a bit.

Yea and PE will just accelerate the decline and PH will be gone before 2030.

This is not meant to glaze Yum Brands because they are shite too.

Pizza Hut hasn’t been good since the early 2000s.

Early 90's pizza hut was great for lunch from work with the buffet.

domino's is a pretty regular neighborhood order when the kids are playing due to location and price.

It surprises me from time to time, fresh hot domino's is eatable which can't be said for little caesar's

i can't remember the last time i have had pizza hut so can't comment

I'm not sure about this firm, but not all PE shops are in things short term to rip, strip, and sell for a return in a short window. Some have long term investment models/strategies.

Regardless, YUM has driven Pizza Hut into the ground, so I don't think it'll get worse.

Papa John isn’t doing great either. I just read last week they’re shutting down a bunch of locations in 17 states. I think dominos is the only one currently adding more locations.

Let's see who LongRange Capital ( LINK) owns:

24 Hour Fitness -- gym in the US
AlpinUnlimited -- EU ski resorts
Bakkavor -- EU food manufacturer
Batesville --- US -- "leader in excellence, innovation and service in death care"
US Synthetic -- US - maker of engineered products

Fun Fact Yum Brands also owns KFC.

They also own Taco Bell. Since Pepsi owns Yum Brands I wonder if there is a clause that locks the future Pizza Hut owners into Pepsi Products.

That has been my biggest issue with Pizza Hut. No Coke products.

I guess we can say good bye to the KFC Taco Hut, Taco Hut, or KFC Hut. When some fanchisees blended the restaurants together.

If you guys don't have Jet's Pizza near you, you should try it if you see one. Their Detroit style is better than any of the other big chains pizza offerings and they have the best ranch dressing in the game.

I just go buy bottles of their ranch when I make wings at home

Pizza Hut buildings are like trannies... You can paint them.. put new curtains up.. But you know it was a Pizza Hut at one time...
