Hogwarts Legacy - Free

Posted by GEAUXLPOST on 12/12/25 at 5:15 pm
Just a heads up if anyone wants to give Hogwarts Legacy a try on pc, Epic game store has it completely free right now.
At Voyager1's speed(38,000ish mph), it would take 77,380 years to get to Proxima Centauri B (4.24 lightyears away), the closest potential habitable exoplanet.

We ain't going nowhere lol

ETA - For reference, Apollo 10 was the fastest humans have travelled in a man made craft at about 25,000 mph.
I like the ones that go from Her ankles to her arse cheeks.
I remember winning that one at the Thibodaux Firemans fair by shooting a miniature basketball into the small hoop 3 times in a row. The good old days.

If I play a game and quutto menu, I have to restart the game to be able to select anything from the menu. Seeing alot of people with this issue.

Hope they fix this quick or people will bail. I'm already in bf6 3x. Once on steam and my pc played it like shite. Once on Xbox, and the old lady took that over, and again on ps5 so I can play lol.

My biggest complaint with EA/DICE games is spending all their time on aesthetics and polish instead of fixing the actual core mechanics of the game. I don't get it. It's like polishing a turd.

Seriously. I would love to see what their testing protocols are like prior to a release. I work in a quasi-tech related position, and ANY update we receive from the SaaS items we use are thoroughly tested prior to accepting and rolling them out to our company.

I know people joke that in gaming the users are the testers, but damn, make sure something as vital as the main menu is functioning before pushing a 17gb update.

I played Battle Royale for a few hours last night and didn't notice anything fricked up...what changed?

Update to the game wasn't applied until 3am this morning.
The new update including the frozen maps seemingly has frozen everything lol. I played one or 2 games, but any time I return to the home screen, clicking on any multiplayer option puts me on the battlepass screen. Looks like a bunch of people are having this issue with the menu screen

ETA - the snow/freezing maps are really cool though. Your goggles start to freeze, restricted FOV, I figured out going near a burning barrel defrosts them.
Boy, did they royally frick up this game with this update or what???
All of this stems from large corporations in Ag buying up the small guys and resulting in lack of competition. Farmers are squeezed on both ends. There are now only a handful of seed and materials providers. Their prices have soared because there is no competition. On the other end, there are only a handful of buyers for the end product. They tell the farmers what they will give them for the product. They can also do this because there is no competition.

Farmers have zero leverage either way due to monopolies on each end. They are losing money and the number of farms in the US has plummeted. Instead of stepping in and stopping this, the Government gives them subsidies, which those subsidies end up going straight from the the farmers to the large corporations to cover debt that the farmers have with them due to their monopolistic positions. In my opinion, this is damn near money laundering from the US Govt to the big boys in AG (Bayer, Corteva, Syngenta Group, BASF). They know the "subsidies" are going straight to these huge corporations, and not really the farmers.

Bringing in exported beef isn't a solution either, that just undercuts the US farmers by purchasing from their competitors who don't have to follow the same laws as them.

What a perfect combination for a a few weeks of fun. 11/10 wood.

You guys saying "she's going to be so fat in a few years"... Who tf cares, in her current state, any red blooded man would absolutely tear that up. If you wouldn't, your either lying or not heterosexual. If you don't think you fit those descriptions, meet me at sonic.

Just looked at witchfire, added to my list. That looks great.
Considering a dui in Louisiana cost between $5-$10k when it's all said and done, your license gets suspended, and you risk your life and the lives of others, $3k is not that bad. Also, if you live in a city, costs associated with parking are often higher than just getting an Uber/Lyft. You don't have to worry about your vehicle getting broken in to, no wear and tear on your vehicle, and you don't have a liability if you get into an accident.

I wouldn't say $3k/year is all that much considering.
You play until the whistle or the horn. Every single game DQ plays, I like him more. Certain players on our current team could learn alot from the rookie, which is embarrassing for them and the organization

That controller looks incredible. I'm on the fence about another "console" like the steam machine though. Seems like it packs a family low punch with no upgrade potential beside maybe ssd.

Have an Xbox series, but the wife has commandeered that and she gets all the play time on. Currently relegated to rog ally/switch 2 (because she also laid claim to my switch oled) lmao.

I like to tinker and mod stuff. I work in a quasi tech related position, but not with hardware. Mostly SaaS config.

Welp the legion 7i I was looking at went from around 1700 to 2200, as the sale ended through bestbuy.

Somewhat glad I didn't jump on it. Decided to upgrade my ROG ally (500gb to 2TB) and use that for games it can handle only and look in to potentially just getting a desktop for gaming. I figured I can make it work, I'll just have to put it away when company comes over.

That being said, where do I even start with picking out a desktop (prebuilt) or putting one together myself. Since I'm not paying the premium for portability, I'd say I'd like to budget around $1500 for it. I will need a monitor, as the one I currently have is an 18" 1080p. I already have a gaming keyboard and mouse, so that's a couple hundred I don't need to spend.
Use of score should come back. Also, why is the banner the only thing ever spangled?

It's 20% off on steam right now ($47) and $39 through microsoft/xbox.

I began playing on xbox gamepass, but since that's gone up to a ridiculous amount/month, I dropped down to essential membership and I don't think I have access any more.

The game was good enough that I put 40+ hours on xbox, and will likely buy it on steam and start from the beginning.
