Mardi Gras was a big factor.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least though if Tracey's could be a source of an outbreak. There were at least a few hundred people there. Probably close to a thousand over the course of the entire day. Bourbon was packed too the nights before they shut it down.

They traced over a thousand cases in SK to one person who attended a church service and lunch

Mardi Day was exactly 30 days ago

Yes and the disease was unknowingly spread then and continued to be spread exponentially until things began to close, and a complete “shutdown” didn’t happen until the past few days.

New Orleans has often been called "the northernmost Caribbean city"
quote:

The “northernmost banana republic” term has been associated with New Orleans since at least the 1970s. “New Orleans' unofficial status as the northernmost Caribbean city” was printed in The Times-Picayune on July 22, 1988.

If the state's flagship university says it. It must be true.

Send the guard in at 3am while people sleep and block off the entire city of New Orleans. Shut the causeway down, I-10/I-12/Mississippi River bridge, airline hwy, block off every entry exit to that city.
