These mother frickers better not cancel HS baseball season. My kid lost his Soph season already. Now his Sr season is on jeopardy over a common cold that doesn't really affect him?

Wash rinse repeat. Same song and dance as before. The ER is dealing with people who have no business in the ER. It’s because these same docs have made them terrified of a cough. But it’s not their fault. Nah uh. No way.

These people are absolutely terrible human beings. They’re disgusting. I can’t get out of this state fast enough.

“Generational knowledge” is the new buzz word because the science isn’t lining up any more.

The irony is the amount of crazy fear mongering that people like Dr. O’Neil have been spewing for the past year IS WHY THE ER IS INUNDATED WITH NOT VERY SICK PEOPLE WHO ARE TERRIFIED OF COVID!!

LDH just layed the foundation, smacker will come on shortly and lay down the hammer and pass it off as just following recommendations

So is it a mandate for schools or not?

I’d like to know that as well. Right now school districts can opt out as long as they follow quarantine guidelines. Our school district did in fact opt out. Will they still be able to?

Return to school recommendations:
Mask universally indoors, and outdoors when social distancing isn’t possible
Distance at meal times
Suspend extracurricular activities until statewide incidence is below 200 per 100K
Avoid holding social gatherings (dances, pep rallies) until statewide incidence is below 200 per 100K
Get vaccinated/boosted
Children tested before returning
Insanity.
None of this shite has worked for almost two years. But we keep doing it anyway.

Our school blamed governors mandate back in August. Can they sack up and not mask up if they choose?
They have to get through a few layers before the school gets to make those choices.
Obviously have the clear from the governor’s office for it to be voluntary. Now have to see what they parish presidents say. Then if incorporated city, what does the mayor say. Then the school board and/or archdiocese. Finally, if all of these layers keep in voluntary, then the principals get to make the call.

Exactly. O’Neal is acting flustered over crowded ER’s. Well then stay off television with your fear porn, idiot! You just picked up probably 500-1000 new customers!

WBRZ River Road Lab
Not sure if there is anything to this but O’Neal & her husband both work for OLOL & LSU
He had a big part in getting the vet school set up as a Covid test lab.
Makes me wonder what kind of kick back they received for funneling money to LSU

The Advocate reports that a swiftly yet efficiently implemented lab facility at LSU's School of Veterinary Medicine called River Road Testing Lab was able to cut down on how long patients had to wait before receiving results.

Later, when LSU Health Sciences professor and Our Lady of the Lake’s medical director of research Dr. Hollis “Bud” O’Neal Jr. was trying to figure out how to reduce the amount of time patients would have to wait for virus testing results, he reached out to the vet school virologists, hoping they might be able to assist in a relatively small way.
