Denver sucks massive balls.... I was there before the 'legal' pot but could have gotten it through a doctor.

Denver is as overrated of a city as ever.... rent is out the arse and there is nothing exciting to do outside of going downtown or the mountains (even the locals couldn't point me into a "fun direction")

If you like hipsters and shite weather (sunny and 70 with 40-45 mph winds is not a good day out) and during the summers the rain is terrible..... then Denver is for you.

I moved from Louisiana to Dallas nearly five years ago. Best decision of my life. This could be it for you as well. You'll definitely miss friends and family...and you'll make new friends. The big difference between us is the change from BR to Dallas is pretty massive. From Dallas to Denver won't be nearly as much. I find Denver to be "small" when I leave Dallas.

Make the career move, have fun, get experience in another city and if you move back in a year to two, ok. No one says you can't come back.

I did once. They made business cards with my name.

Realized I was making the decision with emotion and haste and took the job that didn’t fit me. Really didn’t think it through.

Apologized and paid the invoice for the price of the business cards. We are cool I think.

I didn’t have a damn thing to do with it. Just being honest. It’s really not a good idea to piss off employers. Where I work is very open about encouraging career mobility. But you’re in a lose lose if you don’t approach it how they want you to.

go to boss, be honest about having second thoughts on a rash decision, let him tell you if its too late to back out.

if its only been a few days and no arrangements have been agreed upon it shouldnt be an issue.

Funny at the people who downvote me.... either have never lived in Denver or never lived in a better place than Denver. I lived there and the best part of my time there was getting on I 70 east.

Denver is so overrated.

That’s they other thing...they approved 6K for me to move. I asked when will i get the money after i accepted the offer. They said “oh, well just pay for it then show us the receipts and we will pay you back.”

I have a 3K lease break, $1200 in uhaul, rent in dallas & Denver, movers, etc...

Yeah that is bullshite - 6k once you get there or they pay for the move. Is this some small shop.

Did you looks at rent yet?

If they told you $6k and now talking receipts I would push back maybe

Just go for a tear and respectfully request a transfer back.

Denver will be great during the spring and summer and maybe you'll grow some hair in your sac.

You can always come hime...go and grow

My son and daughter-in-law lived there for 2 years. They had to move back to Houston but can't wait until they can hopefully one day move back to Denver.

I suggest you try it!

75 but that wasn’t the point. I realized I had made a mistake and owned up to it.
