Need some opinions on here. Last week i posted about Denver as my company offered me a job there. I accepted the offer and they want me there in 3 weeks.

However, i am having big big regrets and really do not want to leave. I am happy where i am at and can easily access all of my friends and family. Everyone is within 2-6 hours and i cannot see myself leaving them.

So, has anyone gone back on an offer before with their company? How’d it go?

Looks like you overreacted and did not think this thru.

Should have thought about all that before saying yes. Honor your word, or quit to avoid the embarrassment of being a pussy.

I agree. I also felt pressure from my boss and his boss. I just did what made them happy instead of myself. Which i obviously realize now.

If I recall, you are single with no children. Think about that... taking a chance now is the perfect time. Also, look around your own family. You will find relatives within it who took chances to get them where their "family" is today. Additionally, you're still 2-6 hours from them. Flights leave daily. Go get your place in the world.

You'll have bigger regrets about not giving the opportunity a chance. Not trying to be a dick, but don't jump out just yet. Change is hard and unpredictable, gotta bet on yourself!

It shouldn't be a problem unless you are looking to join the company later down the road.

You can fly almost anywhere in the US in that time from Denver.

Go to Denver and give it a try. If you go back and reneg your career at this company is most likely over. Like the poster above said it’s only a flight away
