MCG got rocked. Lots of streets completely blocked by massive downed limbs and some smaller trees have fallen over in places.

I flooded in 2005. I’ve relocated to a property that WILL NOT flood.

I really need to get flood insurance even though I’m not in a flood zone. This freak setup could get anyone. Insane.

FEMA really should just step in and replace the National Flood Insurance Program with a National Disaster Insurance Program. That way people do not get fricked on the fact that the tornados that blew through this morning get counted as a named storm deductible event.

Been in Plaucheville for almost 50 years. I have never witnessed anything like this. Places that have never come close to flooding are having houses with water in them. The worst part is that most of this area is not a flood zone so the majority of people do not have flood insurance.

I've been watching the radar just HAMMERING Simmesport all morning. The lightening strikes there are unbelievable.

My stepson is scheduled to start a travel baseball tournament in Destrehan at 3:00. These idiots sent out a message at noon saying “We still have games scheduled and will continue to monitor the weather.”.

Absolute lunacy

This would have been another 2016 for Baton Rouge St. George ascension and Livingston if that rain would have been further east
likely worse, much worse.

in 1995 we had a 5 gallon bucket over flow in Metry when we had 16 inches in house - house that had never flooded or flooded since.

Those amounts in short time frames are ungodly

It's nuts watching the whole system pull into freaking Alabama, EXCEPT for that one little blob that just won't move.

some people have hurricane deductibles and not named storm deductibles, and A LOT of people in louisiana have wind/hail deductibles meaning any wind event or storm event causing damage the higher deductible will apply
