Storm over Avoyelles will not budge. Sitting there
Over 20” of rain has fallen in that area. Those people will need boats to get out of that area.

Avoyelles parish flooding is getting very concerning. That storm won’t move

No. I live there and I'm at work and my wife is stuck at home. Floodwaters are 2" away from going into our house. Praying the storm moves out soon. I do not live in a flood zone

Cajun Navy doesn't have to go far.

This would have been another 2016 for Baton Rouge St. George ascension and Livingston if that rain would have been further east

They ride like a dream though.
Now I will think of your post every time, I ride up and down to the second floor or go to the 3rd deck for Belle's Kitchen.
At least you did it right and enclosed the entire area. Caesars left everything open and you could see how little progress they were making.

hope the best for you bud. you do live in a flood zone, its just a "preferred flood zone" which doesn't always mean too much especially for these type of events.

Gauge in Plaucheville is reporting 20" and now they are under a Tornado Warning.

Where exactly are you? Im sort of between Mansura and Moreauville and it’s been bad enough here but apparently worse between cottonport and simmesport.

Will the platoon of Sherpa's be manning the submarine?

It’s nauseating to watch the radar just keep filling back in over that area. It just won’t let up

Some of our older posters may remember the derecho that hit Baton Rouge in about 1989.

I’ve been through many hurricanes, but that was the worst looking shite I’ve ever seen.
ETA I replied before I read people discussing it earlier in the thread. Point still stands though

I really need to get flood insurance even though I’m not in a flood zone. This freak setup could get anyone. Insane.
