Depends on the policy... named storms are different than unnamed storms... again, depends on the policy

When i was in roofing, you wouldn't believe the amount of people who were pissed that they payed 20+ years without incidents, and when they had an event and contacted insurance, the insurance company screwed them over hard and fast... it's a wild game, and once i realized that, I got out quick.

I had a homeowner who had clear hail damage from the storm side of the house, and discontinued shingles, and insurance refused to pay because they payed out the entire neighborhood already, and blatantly lied multiple times... it was a wake up call... homeowners insurance is a giant scam, and you will not be treated fairly, no matter how many years you buy into their scam

Pretty sure this house in Avondale is going to exceed their 2 or 3% wind deductible

I feel like every rainy day a damn in Mississippi 'fails'.

Anyone know if there's truth to this?

failing on a dam can mean small gusher or AW FRICK. This could really be bad further down the pearl

The lake is small… my guess is the dam is small… but adding water to those creek systems already swollen is not good

That's going to be a dam catastrophe.

Just saw photos of tornado damage in Jefferson Parish

It's a good thing they named this storm so now all of those people have named storm deductibles vs regular deductibles

We were just discussing this at the office. Seems like we name more of these borderline storms. Wondering if that plays into the reasoning.

Curious why you have a pic of New York's 307 ft. high Kensico Dam posted.

Yeah I thought it was on the pearl(or read that somewhere). It's privately owned dam too...
