I think it's that, and I also think some people are addicted to drama and sympathy to the point where they latch onto things that create it. And for idiots like that, Covid creates constant drama. And posting that stupid shite gets an awful lot of likes and comments from "sorry, bro" type of people, and I think they crave that sympathy from others.
Any rational person knows that Covid isn't really a threat anymore (and hasn't been since very early on). But these aren't rational people anymore...and it's intentional; they choose to be irrational to feed their drama cravings.

People like this absolutely exist. My son in laws mother is one. Hasn't seen her son my daughter or her grandchildren in person in almost 4 frickin years. All because they won't wear a mask.
