Only three days since June first that were below average and roughly half the days in that time have been ~5 degrees or more above normal.

Less rain than average.

We got rain two weekends and weren’t reaching those br temps.

We haven’t had rain in weeks it seems like now and was 106 yesterday.

As a former bank loan officer I can verify that Garbage Collectors make bank, for hourly employees anyway. (When the business applies for loans they submit their bookkeeping for analysis, including payroll)

Which is stupid. Since July 11th the daytime high has been below 96 degrees one time.

Go to Shreveport if you want to cool off. It's on the fringe of the dreaded heat dome

You don't need to go to Shreveport, tarzana. If you're in Baton Rouge just move 14 miles or so south where it has averaged nearly 5° cooler and has had just one 100° day in the past week. Still hot, but not as hot....ya know?

Don't put any stock in that shitty Accuweather 90-day algorithm. Confidence in forecasts beyond 7 days is low.

In 2011, Shreveport had 15 consecutive days of 100+ temps, Monroe had 14. Shreve had 63 days total of 100+ temps that summer, Monroe 49

I remember that summer. Spent every day from 4am to 9am fighting oxygen problems on the catfish farm. Lost a lot of fish that year

My truck back then was Bawtastic though

But keep that fear porn going.

Data impacted by the underwater volcano eruption that is responsible for this heat wave. It was orders of magnitude bigger than any underwater eruption ever seen, and threw up massive amounts of water vapor into the atmosphere.

I'm just saying baw. You know it is true that SE Texas and SCentral Louisiana are hotter than Central and North Texas.

From someone who has lived in Houston, BMT, BR and has spent many nights in Austin and Dallas; you have it slightly easier in Central Texas.

It has been more dry in BR this summer, but the humidity in Austin area has been below 40% for much of the summer

I’ve been working 7 days a week in this heat since May 1. Lost 25 lbs so I really don’t mind it I always lose my winter fat in the summer months

I’ll admit im tired of it and can’t wait for 75 degrees, SEC football and a nice bourbon drink

I prefer frigid cold to scorching heat. I like snow.
