She makes Ray Nagin and Mark Morial look like good mayors

Sure this fixes everything you had your chance

Eileen has some connections and Desiree Charbonnet and krewe are probably circling the boat as well.
noonie man may be a clown but that dude goes to all the city council meetings and calls people out. He’s a rablerouser who is easily roused.
or it could all be for show. But I don’t think it’s insignificant that the petition was done by two black political activists

Bingo. I think you could get that number of signatures but there was zero ground game before the filing. And once filed you are on the clock.
50K signatures in 6 months isn’t that many. 8.3K/week. I’m sure they can muster 40-50 people with a DQ signature rate of 10% or so.
Tons of people hate her. Some who probably didn’t even vote in the first place.

Even if she is recalled, who will run against her? Why won’t this be the same outcome as the recall for Gavin Newsom as I assume she would try to run again for the remainder of the term (or can’t she?).

You get it. They can have 5,000 signatures from registered black voters on Monday.

This will go nowhere because the guy who filed it jumped the gun without any organization. If this was properly organized it may have shot if you knocked on every door in Lakeview, UPT, and the garden district
frick it. I'm glad he did it. I don't care if it fails or not. It has more of a shot than whoever didn't file shite before him. And it is going to piss her off so badly that it's worth it just for that.

That’s like 75% of the city in the last election

In real New Orleans politics…
Eileen Carter (vice chair) is related to Karen Carter Peterson (disgraced gambling addict former state senator currently in court). Jay banks may be 1 of the “persons” associated to her fraudulent behavior and multiple relations of his (brother and father) are almost certainly associated involved in her case. Jay had previously had a very public run in with Noonie Man (chair of the recall). Last week Jay also accepted a position in city hall with mayor Cantrell.
Just throw the whole batch out. New Orleans doesn’t stand a chance until there’s a real change in its political class.

Nothing is going to happen.

Of that number, a total of 53,000 signatures are needed.
I think there were less than that many votes cast in the last election.
I stand to be corrected.

They done changed that label on wild Irish rose in the picture with the mayor.
Use to be red lettering with silver label back in the day.

It’s fewer, not less. And here is your correction: LINK

I haven't had another thread to post it in, but....
NOLA:
194 as of August 24
This time last year they were at 152. The record, set last year, is 232. Record watch will need to be started soon, maybe when they break 200.
That 194 is already more than 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. It is only 16 less than 2020's total.
Already the past three years in NOLA have seen 636 people murdered.
