Decent list, but:

GTFO. If you’re a semi-educated go-getter who has no ties to family/friends business, you’ve got to leave for bigger salaries.

That looks like a list from someone who's never lived in Louisiana.

You would. I complain about this state daily but mostly because it’s so frustrating. We have so much going and idiotic politicians who continue to hold us back. The things that I love about Louisiana are the reasons I’ll never leave. The things that I hate are what keep me bitching and hoping for change.

Not entirely true. I've always got my eye on the construction job market around the country. The salaries paid here, working in the oil/gas/chem industry are unmatched, with the exception of Houston.

Wanna be a project manager/estimator/purchaser/admin? You won't be paid as well anywhere else.

So basically it's a good hunting state. Thanks, I'll pass

This is why Louisiana and even MS (with less culture) are pretty perfect. The people that live there don’t want people like you moving in and ruining it. The people like you would never ruin their lives by moving there. The OP has a good point.

Not as much feces on the streets as some states. That’s about it

One thing I noticed when I was back in LA for 5-6 weeks at the end of 2020:

Whenever you drive past people in a neighborhood, whether they’re driving by or walking down the street, 9 times out of 10 they wave to you and you wave back.

It’s a very small thing, and something customary I knew existed because I grew up with it, but I had kind of forgotten about it after I left.

I think it’s great.

have you spent much time in rural Louisiana and Mississippi? I can't imagine they are that worried about folks moving in and messing up their meth trailers.

According to the op people in Baton Rouge shouldn’t think Louisiana is great. Not as much murders as Chicago barely

-Best damn salt fishing in the country with limits that make it worth while to visit.

-Great food and seafood that actually is seasoned.

-Overall party atmosphere with drive in Daiquiris.

-Loose women (goes with the party atmosphere).

All those things make LA a great place to visit. Louisiana stinks though. I mean you come back and all you can smell is a thick layer of mold mixed with some toxic refinery smell EVERYWHERE down in S. LA. I still consider it my home state, but couldn't imagine going back to live there. If I did it would have to be away from the traffic of NO and BTR areas.

Duck hunting has fallen off a cliff these last 4 years.

I love Louisiana for one simple reason, the people. I’ve made too many great friends to think about leaving

Any good qualities for the state are nullified by the miserable arse summers.

Friends
Family
Food
Football

That's about it, I would never recommend someone live here if they aren't from here.

ETA: and if it wasn't for family, we'd have moved out already.

The gun laws are very pro-2-A, as well as the state politicians that really matter.

Crawfish season.

The high crime areas ID themselves every night on the news.

You can drive to a nice vacation spot in a matter of a few hours.

The "Mayberry" atmosphere still exists here, in many small towns.

LSU Football, of course.

Positives:

It's not that cold
Low cost of living
Plenty of trees
Rains a lot

It's where my family and friends are and without them other places would suck.
