Fact of the matter is if you replace slaves with more modern Ag equipment the south would still have succeeded and the north still would go to war to stop it. Slaves just happen to be the wheel that turned the agrarian economy in the south at that time.

The tariffs of 1832 were at 50% for incoming trade which was the lifeblood of the Southern economy. European travelers wrote of the deep economic depression in the South as being "visible everywhere."
Things like that aren't ever forgotten nor forgiven especially when the North enjoyed great prosperity at the clear expense of the South.

What’s the point? I’m sure he just argues over semantics about how it was actually not about slavery blah blah when we all know it was.
Then you have the cornerstone speech from the VP of the Confederacy stating slavery is a cornerstone of southern society due to black people being the inferior race. Oh and he gave this speech two weeks before Sumter was fired upon. Walsh is just on some lost cause bullshite as usual

On top of that why was slavery enshrined in the confederate constitution if it was about state rights? Shouldn’t they have the ability to choose if it’s legal or not. Again it’s a farce, the war was is and always has been about the legality of slavery. I don’t know why yall keep staning for the planters who sent your ancestors to die for their ability to continue to own humans, which by the way suppressed wages for working class white people.
