And the suspects that kill them often do not know when it's time to shut the frick up before they talk themselves into a prison sentence that lasts for decades.
They seriously think they can smooth talk and/or intimidate talk themselves out of the situation they're in, when in reality they're only giving the detectives everything they need to charge them with murder or at least give them more evidence that makes a conviction 100% guaranteed.
