No, I am not the mayor or any other elected official. I doubt he shares my sentiments as well.

I like the Shreveport area. Lots of beautiful neighborhoods right outside the city.

I like it better than Baton Rouge, tbh.

The only redeeming qualities of Baton Rouge, imo, are LSU and its close proximity to New Orleans

I've spent a ton of time in Shreveport for work, it just didn't feel like a "large" city. Especially in relation to the population of the city. I'm not a big fan of Baton Rouge but it's third on my list because of it's proximity to New Orleans and Lafayette.

ETA: Also, my wife is from Baton Rouge and likes the area, so that would play into a decision to live there.

the only large city in LA is NOLA and it isn't even really large

Isn't Shreveport basically a 24/7 war zone?

If you are young and single. It's probably one of the better places in LA to raise a family IMO. Public schools are not shitty and crime is very contained to a specific part of town. And some very pretty neighborhoods.

Why is this funny? It's personal opinion and i like the Northshore Blanchard area far more than the areas with busted street lights and bars over every window.

don't know a single Aggie here...

I'll try to find the poll but a few years ago the Times did a reader poll where the %'s were LSU-Tech-A&M-NSU-Other, so I would say their numbers are healthy there.
