Finding a new daycare would be an illogical burden for those parents whose kids remain instead why don't the parents who share displeasure at the suspension take their kids out of school for one day so the racist friend has someone to play with for the day
that way it spreads the burden sends a message and treats kids like kids and makes adults start to think about being adults

frick you grammar nazis

I agree a learning experience has likely been wasted.

Spleen, I don’t think you’re a bad person but you are 100% wrong here. This kid isn’t racist, she simpl up didn’t want to share. Huge difference. Kicking her AND her older sibling out is wrong. Plain wrong.

Adults use periods, spaces and don't disclude the word "and".

And you even went back and edited your post. Lol

In my opinion this is ridiculous. There is no way to know where the kid heard that from. It could have been something an older cousin said or who knows who else.

How about take the kid aside and have a talk with them, tell the parents and see what they do. To me 4 years old is too young to enforce a "no tolerance" policy.

Sounds like a school to avoid if they’re going to be hypersensitive and overreact to race issues. No reason to think the kid heard it at home and even if he did, is that grounds for expulsion? School is teaching minority kids to be victims imo.
Kids learn on their own. My daughter came home from kindergarten and asked me why all the brown skin kids were always getting in trouble.

My son is 4 years old, his best friend was kicked out of school last week for saying she wasn't someone's best friend because she has brown skin, the friend is Muslim. Its a first offense, but school has zero tolerance. So daycare kicked out the girl and her sister saying the parents are instilling racism in their home. It all started over sharing a book.

Sounds like an explosive situation

This is the kind of horseshite that perpetuates the problem.

"Oh well, it's policy so there's nothing that can be done!"

Zero tolerance policies are the worst thing to happen to schools in the last 30 years. They're the bastion of the intellectually lazy and cowards.

My 3 year old can certainly discern boys versus girls. Did I misunderstand that statement? There isn't much thought behind what being a boy means versus being a girl, but she can certainly discern gender.

i’m referring to all the genders that one can select when they sign up for Facebook. (that don’t exist in real life)

That kid probably Lu has no idea what that even means

If you don't want your 4 year olds subjected to woke idiots, probably raise them yourself and don't drop them off to strangers.

The kids have been friends since infant hood. So it was just a one off comment.

There really isn't though. That's the problem.
