I've had a few friends over the years say they would let me use their condo. And all of them have said it's $750 for a week. Do you have to pay any fees on top of that?

Not if that is the total they gave you.

Why don’t you ask them?

Your friends are making you pay to use their condo?

Make sure to ask if that includes the cleaning fee and taxes. Also ask if there is an additional refundable deposit.

Taxes in some cities for rentals/hotels/etc can be fricking ridiculous.

Some people say, come one, use our house in Florida, it's only X amout per week. Then you realize they forgot the cleaning fee of $250 and the taxes of $200.

Unless your friends steadily rent it out or live there, why are they charging you?

So you have a few friends that have condos that all rent them for $750 a week? This is random as shite.

Guess if you don't sign anything, all other expenses would be tough luck on them.

Of course, that could work both ways, and you could show up to a locked condo after paying your money.

You've been registered here for over 10 years, and though you'd get anything quickly other than smarmy criticism and derisiveness??

How would we know if they're telling you the price they list it for vs. if they're saying it would be $750 flat?

There will be additional costs, as others have said. They will at least include cleaning fee and tax.

Also, lots of questions need to be answered? How big a condo are you talking about (1 BR?, 2 BR?, 3 BR?). Is it beach front? Across a busy highway? Convenient to food? Nice or trashy? What floor? What amenities? What time of the year (February or week of July 4th)? I know folks who will rent for pretty low fees during February, especially if it is raining. Also where? Destin? Orange beach? H-30a Ft. Morgan? Gulfport? Emilia Island? Three miles up or down a beach can generate a $500 difference (Phoenix Vs Turquoise in OB) (West Destin vs East Destin). Do you want a big exercise facility? Tennis courts? Access to a golf course?

Call a realtor

Probably doesn’t include the cleaning fees.

I have stayed at a friend’s condo numerous times and all we had to pay was the cleaning fee.

They aren’t letting you use anything. You’re a potential customer.

All your friends charge $750 to stay in their condo? Are these all different condos in different areas? If so, that’s a tad bit odd.
