What would I not give to be free from seeing Gordon's shitty face 10,000 times a day?
BTW does anyone give more than 0% chance of this actually passing?

"I am simply asking you to put a moratorium on billboards," McFarland told the committee. "We have 7,000 of them."

Rep. C. Denise Marcelle, D-Baton Rouge, a member of the committee, disputed comments by backers of the resolution that billboards represent a major distraction for truckers and other motorists. Marcelle said the key distraction among drivers is cell phones.

I'm all for free enterprise, but damn, how much of the view of nature, your own world, do you have to clutter up before too much is too much?

Restricting billboards seems like government overreach to me.
Let the free market work itself out here.

Ambulance chasers don't want that banned either.

Until someone launches a low orbit billboard that lights up the sky.

I'm fine with a city government making an ordnance around billboards.
The city council takes other things into consideration that an individual business or advertiser would not, such as city desirability and land value.

As much as I hate Gordon, if he has the money to buy billboards, let him buy them. Work on litigation reform, not the ability to buy billboards. Then the Gordons of the world will not have enough money to buy all of the billboards they currently do.

All of the injury lawyer billboards are trash AF. I wish they would stop them. But, I agree with her...cell phones are worse than billboards.

Well, yeah. But that’s like saying cancer isn’t a problem because heart disease kills more people. Both can be a problem

Wait. What about banning obnoxious lawyer billboard AND curbing cellphone use while driving?!

Time, Place, and Manner restrictions can be constitutional... Not that TPM applies here, but thats what I remember about chilling speech.

we already have laws on the books for cell phones. As we do for driving slow in the left lane. If only we would you know enforce them.
