Do you, just don’t expect me to hire you.

I wouldn't hire you either, because you can't read the first page of a thread where this was addressed. The fact that normal people should be wearing a button down with long sleeves in an interview to begin with, says you're just posturing again.

I turned 59 last Friday and have zero. But I’ve been thinking a lot about life lately and there’s this symbol that keeps popping up in my mind. Something that has a strong meaning to me. Something I hope I never forget. I’ve started to consider getting it tattooed on my forearm. It’s something I will continue to think through before I make a decision.

Whatever I decide, it will be for me and me alone.

I don't have any tattoos. I don't want any tattoos. Never did. Probably never will. Not hating on people who have them - I think they look cool. But I don't want one. That's just the way it is.

no, no, no! you’re doing this all wrong, you’re supposed to go out bar hopping, get shitfaced, and then go to a tattoo parlor and let sage old inkster decide what will be indelibly etched into your skin forever

I wish I cared about anything enough to want it permanently tattooed on my skin.

Artists will post examples of their work on Instagram. Look at a few that suit your vision, and ask for a quick sketch of how they'd do it. There are some that specialize in black and white, different styles, etc.

My mom got one at 78. Was after my step dad went into a permanent care facility for dementia. Seems to help her, I notice her rubbing it in a soothing manner from time to time. Whatever helps.

For me it's not that I decided not to get tattoos, it's that I never decided to get tattoos. Like it doesn't cross my mind of things I want to do. I don't even know how to go about getting one or which place I would go. I'm just not in that world.

I just don’t see the point in getting a tattoo. Its never made sense to me.

Commission a piece of art or something

ETA: I don’t think I have any friends with tattoos, I do have some family members though

Thanks, I'll pass.

Tattoos can cause eye trouble, specifically uveitis—an inflammation of the eye's middle layer—driven by immune reactions to tattoo ink. Symptoms include pain, blurred vision, light sensitivity, and floaters. While rare, this condition can cause permanent vision loss. Eyeliner tattoos may also cause infections or loss of eyelashes.

Never had a desire to get a tattoo.

Im not even sure what I would get.

I have bought nice watches and then ended up not even wearing them. I guess I just dont see the need to decorate myself. I do like to wear hats so I got that going for me.

The loudest one in the room is the weakest. Bad parents have their kids name tattooed on them. Perfect example. My kids mean everything until it’s time to commit a crime or get high.

Ever see a good parent with kid’s names tattooed on them.

Great song. The lyrics get increasingly serious on the consequences of getting drunk and making life decisions:

Verse 1: Wake up with a tattoo
Verse 2: Wake up with a spouse (Vegas Elvis Wedding Chapel Style)
Verse 3: Comes 9 months later.

I dont have any.

I can respect good tattoo art tho.

I’ve dated women with tattoos. Mrs. S. has a very small one on her side that her sisters and her all got together .

I just have never really felt like getting one. I also feel like white peoples tattoos look best with lots of color.

One minor tattoo obviously NBD.

But the larger the surface area seems to add to the trashy/freak factor especially as you add piercings.

MANY years ago, I worked at a gun store here in BR, and we had biker customers (2 guys) that started coming in with a youngish and very sweet girl (maybe 22). At first, she had one piercing in her nose, then a small tattoo on her arm, then more and more and more, until she had full sleeves on both arms, and her upper chest and neck covered. At the same time, she became progressively more used-up and freaky looking, and clearly was doing lots of meth (and bikers). It was really painful to watch her descent into the abyss, all the more so because, can I tell you, this girl was flat-out, legit, real-deal beautiful. The last time I saw her she was just grotesque.

I left there a long time ago and I cannot imagine she is still alive. Very sad...
